What a perfect opportunity for an icebreaker!

Hey, I noticed you marked your profile "London", did you intend to mark it as London, Canada or London, England.  I ask  because Collar Me has a glitch in the location fields and it sometimes puts people in the wrong search area. Whenever I happen upon a profile where I suspect this confusion I email them and let them know about this glitch on Collar Me, especially when their profile is as intriguing as yours. I have very high standards, and you seem so very interesting... my name is Bob, by the way"

Talk about your gaping opening for contact... and you wanted CM to fix it!

Actually, this is what I send:

If you revisit your profile page you will find collarme has switched your country from Canada to the United Kingdom.

Switch it back and click the update profile button at the bottom of the page and you should be alright.

All the best,

Robert

I send a similar letter to those whose countries have been switched the other way.

From time to time I've done a search for those who have recently joined and whose country is listed as the "United Kingdom". I didn't see any spammers amongst those I recognized as Canadian locations.

But the number of fake profiles for London, Manchester and other UK locations is considerable, and daily more are added.

Your data varies from mine, I've been keeping track using Excel charts and graphs.

At the annual conference of (SPITS) Scam Prevention Interception & Tracking Society, next month, I'll be giving a PowerPoint presentation on the subject showing how the individual contribution of one person has made Canada the capital of spam.[8|]

You mean you do not take that as an opportunity to flirt?

What a shame

If I go to the store and buy a Molson, when I drink it, will it become a Guiness?

If only.  Molson is much cheaper than Guinness.

So, as this problem is over two years old, I am wondering if Collarme has any plans to correct it.

Because the site admins care so much about spam and fakes?

They don't care so long as the advertising revenue keeps coming.

Don't try judging what you don't know about, people in London, Manchester and a number of other UK locations not only bullshit aggressively to survive, but also speak a different language to that which you are used. Berk.

A sandwich walks into a bar. 'Whiskey', he says, to the barman, 'and may I see the menu?' 'I'm sorry sir,' says the barman. 'We don't serve food.

That's scary likewise humour ... an Irish joke though (in good time for Paddy's day), drop the "E" out of "Whiskey" and it would be seamless.

ps : why would ANYONE want to live in (anywhere called) London ???

It is enough for a gentleman to be helpful to a lady in need.

If the lady wishes to get to know me, that is her choice.

If someone catches my eye I certainly do not need a glitch as an excuse to contact her.

I tried it once and once was enough. It tastes like licorice.

I loath licorice.

Worlds best selling beer? Huh. That doesn’t say much for the world.
