Okay so we have the biggest loser thread and we have music threads this is the baby of those two threads. So ladies and gents when you workout what music really pumps you up? Yes, I'm shamelessly using this thread to beef up the music on my ipod for running.


Here's some of my favorite tunes for when I run.

Cascada- Evacuate the dance floor
Demi Lovato- Remember December
Queen- Don't stop me now
Ke$ha- Tik Tok
Britney- 3- This is my song for the point when I think I can't run any further usually at 2 miles.
Capra- Low day
Jill Scott- Hate on Me
P!NK- Funhouse
Heart- NEver
Patti Smyth- Warrior
Glee- Don't stop believin'
Toby Mac- Burn for you
Jordin Spark- SOS
MJ-Thriller


Obviously I like a good beat when I run.. What about you?

When I first started running I had a mix that started with Spiderbait "Black Betty", leading into Ten Years After "I'm Goin' Home" (Live at Woodstock) then George Thorogood's "Who Do You Love?", and worked on down through Cream "Crossroads (Live at Fillmore)" and "South Australia" by the Pogues, and a few more from Thorogood, "Gear Jammer" and "Back to Wentzville".

But now I just enjoy the solitude and quiet.

Damn, you've got good taste. I forgot I have "Who Do You Love" on my mix too, but I don't understand why I never used "I'm Goin' Home." I'll add that on the morrow. "Black Betty" would be terrific, too. I'll have to get the CD and rip it. Thanks for the ideas!

I rarely listen to music when lifting, I prefer to concentrate. But if Slayer or Pantera is on, it can help me throw in a little more oomph.
