Does this not strike anyone as sheer propaganda?? I look at who is quoted for one thing. I haven't read the full article, I guess. Perhaps I should but I really have trouble buying this. Maybe it's just me. ?

ESPN looks to be the originating source, but has since backed away from it.
ESPNOutdoors.com has acknowledged "errors," lack of "balance" in piece sparking controversy. In a March 9 piece on ESPNOutdoors.com, Robert Montgomery wrote that the "Obama administration will accept no more public input for a federal strategy that could prohibit U.S. citizens from fishing some of the nation's oceans, coastal areas, Great Lakes, and even inland waters." ESPNOutdoors.com executive editor Steve Bowman later posted the following acknowledgement on the site:
ESPNOutdoors.com inadvertently contributed to a flare-up Tuesday when we posted the latest piece in a series of stories on President Barack Obama's newly created Ocean Policy Task Force, a column written by Robert Montgomery, a conservation writer for BASS since 1985. Regrettably, we made several errors in the editing and presentation of this installment. Though our series has included numerous news stories on the topic, this was not one of those -- it was an opinion piece, and should clearly have been labeled as commentary. And while our series overall has examined several sides of the topic, this particular column was not properly balanced and failed to represent contrary points of view. We have reached out to people on every side of the issue and reported their points of view -- if they chose to respond -- throughout the series, but failed to do so in this specific column.

That Monsanto piece sounds like straight propaganda too.  Do you really think farmers are going to put up with GPS tracking of their livestock?  It's not even practical.

You also do not own the rain water that falls on your roof or yard.

Centralized power-  which is what these rules are-  translate into lesser private property.   If you own property- you should be able to hunt, grow, fish and take the rain water.   but that is not what the plans are for the earth.    You own NOTHING.

For the rest... this seems to actually be a viable news report. I suggest reading the article to learn how it is being spun.

this is nothing new as stated in an earlier post, the UN has tried to do this, and well like we learned over the last 25 years the USA could not care any less in what the UN says or cares about

End public fishing, only a fool would believe this BS, plus your links are nothing more then propaganda sites and your White House links goes no where

It sounds like you're getting desperate asking people to vote for Republicans. Republicans are worse than Democrats. Republicans are 100% corrupt, if not 100% 98%. Democrats are 65% corrupt. So if you want certitude about being able to fish in the future I strongly suggest voting for independents.

Aw c'mon!!  You post some interesting and thought-provoking stuff and then follow it up with this kind of crap.  Why?

Show the source for your data!  All Republicans are 100% corrupt..but maybe it's 98% and then Democrats are 65% corrupt.  Have you a source for all the fraud and corruption cases of every registered Republican and Democrat?  That there is a file out there available regarding these on-going investigations of average citizens is more interesting than the so-called fishing ban.

...the trend is one of more control.

I take that to mean the little guy is regulated out of the market.   Keep in mind- they put laws on the books- and may wait a decade before enforcing in a new way.

There IS a trend to bust raw milk- Amish, and McCain tried again to get rid of suppliments this year.

You going to start seeing the government banning lots of things. I don't mean to sound too much like you pahunk but we are witnessing the beginning of the end of our free market capitalist economy as it moves to a government controlled economy.

There's stimulus money for that project readily available.

Free market and capitalism are mutually exclusive terms.

If this is true and it does pass I will continue to do what I do. So far this is the only way I am able to survive.

If I do get arrested, jailed and fined then there are my three hots and a cot. Does that make any sense?

"Okay, so you are not allowed to farm, fish, or hunt to sustain yourself. So... what we are going to do is throw you in jail where we get to sustain you until your sentence ends."

Which falls back on the tax-payers again.

Sorry guys.
