A party's not a party without spinach dip!

1 pkg CHOPPED frozen spinach, thawed and drained
1 16 oz carton of sour cream (low fat and fat-free work fine)
1 8oz block of Philly Cream Cheese (although I really like the texture of the whipped kind...again, low or no-fat is fine)
1 envelope Hidden Valley Ranch dressing (the powdered mix)
Mayonnaise or Miracle Whip to taste (I like a big blop of Miracle Whip, which is about 2/3 cup)

You can serve it in a big round loaf of bread, just cut a circle out of the top, leaving about a 1/2 inch at the bottom, to make a big hole in the bread loaf. Break up the circle you cut out into bite-size pieces to dip with. You can also just serve it in a bowl with crackers, veggies, breadsticks, or whatever floats your boat :)

People always rave about it when I make it and ask for the recipe, so you might want to take a few pre-written recipe cards with you.

BBQ pulled pork! Super easy if you do it in a crock pot, and it's always a hit at Mercnbeth's parties. Serve with little rolls for mini sammiches or with tortilla chips and cheese for pulled pork nachos.

Sweet and sour meatballs are also super easy in a crock (2 cans pineapple, 2 jars sweet and sour sauce, and as many meatballs as you can stuff into the crock), and awesome party snacks.

those meatballs sound quite yummy I will be making those.. ty wyld :). Now is that crushed or chunk pineapple ??

SIMPLE Baked Cream Cheese Appetizer (mmmm, and have made it with Italian Herbs and Garlic, too)

1/2 (8 ounce) package refrigerated crescent rolls
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
1/2 teaspoon dried dill weed
1 egg yolk, beaten

Directions

1.Unroll dough on a lightly floured surface; press together seams to form a 12 x 4 inch rectangle. Sprinkle one side of the cream cheese with half of the dill weed. Place brick of cream cheese dill side down in center of dough. Sprinkle dill on top of cream cheese. Enclose cream cheese by bringing sides of dough together and pressing edges to seal. Place dough on lightly greased cookie sheet. Brush with beaten egg.
2.Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 15 to 18 minutes. Serve warm.

I usualy serve it with crackers or sliced apples....

Some honey apricot chicken wings would be good. Marinade wings in honey, soy, apricot jam and ginger. Then bake or broil.

I would love to, but I really don't partake in that. I just keep thinking all these funny things and posting them.

But alcohol is a completely different matter.

divi, (or anybody!), if there's any appetizer recipe you can think of and are looking for, let me know. One of my guilty pleasures is my obsession with appetizer cookbooks. I've got about 20 of them :)

Just put harnesses on the kids, tie them to the fence and the adults just party on.

I'm sorry, I had to erase that, that was just so wrong! What I said was. Funny, but so wrong.

SIMPLE Baked Cream Cheese Appetizer (mmmm, and have made it with Italian Herbs and Garlic, too)

If we're breaking out the cream cheese and crescent rolls:
Crab Rangoon Rolls:
1 pkg (8oz) cream cheese, softened
2 pkg (8oz) refrigerated crescent rolls
1 can (6oz) white crab meat
1/3 lb (or one 6 oz can) tiny shrimp
1 stalk green onion
1 dash of garlic powder (optional)
1 dash black pepper (optional)

Preheat oven.
Finely chop onion and mix with cream cheese, shrimp, crab meat, garlic, and pepper. Unroll crescents and separate. Put 1 spoonful of filling near the top of each triangle, fold in top corners, and roll up. Seal any openings by pinching dough. Bake as directed on crescent package.
Good stuff!
