JACKSON, Miss. - An 18-year-old Mississippi lesbian student whose school district canceled her senior prom rather than allow her to escort her girlfriend and wear a tuxedo said she got some unfriendly looks from classmates when she reluctantly returned to campus Thursday.

Why didn't she just go to the prom with her date (without asking permission) and then why should she have to be sneaky?

Status: offline 		That's dreadful! They need to get a new school board. That's just ridiculous. They knew the reaction she'd get, too! Shame on them! What a lot of backward, ignorant KKK members. I am so sorry that she didn't get more support from her classmates, though. They should have held a demonstration. That's just awful.

What about teaching tolerance and acceptance? The school board should be the first people embedded into the turd.

It would be such a lovely land if we could dump the bottom half of this country.
