Dude, I was just kidding. I didn't mean to be taken seriously. I think the whole concept is silly. I don't think someone's political opinions are given more or less weight based on their nick or their BDSM affiliation. Although, to be honest, I haven't gone and checked if the people I think are complete idiots are all of the same persuasion.

"Far Left" gets thrown around here a lot. Seems to mean "anything at all to the left of me," and has no difference from simply "left" other than as emphasis on the disagreement. The people using it have given no apparent thought to "left" vs. "far left," just as they're "center" but have no meaningful concept of "far right" people to the the right of them. People perceive based on where their thinking lies, not reality. Liberals are going to see lots of conservative posters, conservatives think they're surrounded by liberals. Both are distortions of reality. When that left/right conflict misperception becomes firmly ingrained, we even see the perception here that the right is now the middle, despite the data showing 35% of people as moderates, as despite the logical problem the one side of the continuum has no extreme edge.

That center could be considered right or left by those opposed to this position. Time is important as well…. 8 years ago the center position on Iraq today would have been considered left or liberal. Yet today it is the center. It is a waste of time to pigeonhole every thought as liberal or conservative. Sanity’s position on many issues would have been considered the center a few years ago and in the future may be again…yet many here always consider him a right wing fanatic. There is no doubt I will lean one way and he another on most issues but as often as not the middle…the center… the moderates will agree with his position. Butch
