Hold off, don't get last year's edition. I'm just making the finishing touches on an early release for the 2011 edition of "The Slave Protocols." You can get a signed, advance copy by mailing me $50.00 now!

vixenmoon -> RE: standardized slave protocols (3/15/2010 8:09:43 PM)

The syllabus comes along with Twue Master v 3.6   :P

couldn't tell ya. one of the first rules of sub club is to never talk about sub club.

sweetnurseBBW -> RE: standardized slave protocols (3/15/2010 8:45:34 PM)

There aren't any. Each dynamic is different and sets up its own rules and protocols if any to meet the goals of those involved in the dynamic.

doesn't that make it all so confusing?

I mean having to treat women as individuals , well it's just unheard of

Your poor thing, you're so confused. As someone once told me, "Treat them as if they are individuals." It's the "as if" that makes the difference. Good luck.

sublizzie -> RE: standardized slave protocols (3/15/2010 9:32:34 PM)

Wowsers! There's a *single* set of protocols?

myotherself -> RE: standardized slave protocols (3/16/2010 1:47:10 AM)

but...but...but when I did my initial training at the ultra-secret UK slave training camp they told us NEVER to tell Masters about the manual. Or the camp.

if the truth behind our "Pontins Camps" was ever made public we'd all be in serious trouble! It took decades to build the facade and make it so unappealing to the modern holidaymaker as to make attempted bookings unlikely

chamberqueen -> RE: standardized slave protocols (3/16/2010 3:49:41 AM)

I swear, in the beginning I used to wish that there was a rulebook!  Over time I found that it was much more enjoyable for each dynamic to write their own.

And wouldn't ya know it..........the chapters I aced in subby school are the ones my master isn't interested in;.or hasn't read yet. I'm a-thinkin' he's not a twue master 'cuz he does things the way he wants instead of by-the-book.

AquaticSub -> RE: standardized slave protocols (3/16/2010 8:37:34 AM)

She said she was familiar correct? I don't really how that is an issue or mock-worthy. I'm familiar with BDSM - that doesn't mean I know every little aspect of it or claim to be. She's just stating that she had prior experience with protocol based relationships. If she used the wording you did, which was "some of the", I'd say she worded things fairly well. She's familiar with some protocols, which doesn't claim to know all or that there is a standardized type of protocol.

Just that she is familiar with some of them.

Agreed.  It could also mean that in her prior dynamic, she was involved in protocol related occasions to an extent. It could mean that she's familiar with serving at high protocol dinners or events.  The local BDSM group that they attended may have specifically had a sig specifically interested in protocols or they may have had a leather or gorean based dynamic in some way.

Some people thrive in very structured dynamics.  There's no reason to criticize them for it.  Not to mention, if someone wanted to publish comments that they've made on their profile to the message board, I'm sure they would have done it for themselves.

UniqueRaven -> RE: standardized slave protocols (3/16/2010 9:19:06 AM)

Fact is, there are standard protocols for slaves in various styles of training - Victorian being one example. It's not unheard of for a slave to be trained by a slave trainer and then go to an Owner/Master. It's just up to the Owner/Master involved which protocols they'd like to use, and to keep.

So to say that a slave knows "some of the protocols" is not a misleading statement for me. It simply means they've had some experience with some of the protocols and are prepared to show them to a particular Owner/Master.

And as LadyPact so eloquently stated, i'm not really sure why we're discussing someone's profile without her initiating it - but osf seems to find such discussions mentally stimulating. [;)]

I've been around for quite some time and I've never heard of a standard protocol for anything, I'll admit there are similarities in expected behavior but that's as far as i'll go

and this wasn't her meaning, I didn't quote the entire profile, her meaning was that she wouldn't have to relearn whatever it was she learned already

each relationship is unique in ritual and expected patterns of behavior
