George is beautiful. I hope he hangs in there long enough to enjoy a few more years of sunbathing and catnip. My mother has an all white cat with blue eyes that is 18 years old, and has her moments of being a money pit. She had to have almost all of her teeth removed a few years ago...and my mother rides her around town in good weather...in a cat baby carriage from Foster and Smith. It's light pink, lol. Sorry to hear about everything hitting the fan all at once. It was good to hear how people at CM pulled together to come up with some good ideas, and experiences. I didn't know that veterinary teaching hospitals, and Tagament could be a help. I had a parapalegic cat for a bit over 3 years. She had fallen several stories out of a window when the screen had blown out, and there were no fractures, but "soft tissue damage." The vet taught me how to squeeze her belly to empty her bladder for her...she had bad days...but she also had a huge zest for life. (At night slept in a crib in my bedroom, with her "mousie tv" a mouse in a metal cage, and at the other end a beta fish in a bowl.) She was crazy about going through car washes, could almost hear her shouting "one more time!" I couldn't decide to put her down on the day of her accident; I had to wait a while to see if she was still able to love life. She had a very wicked sense of humor and...enjoyed popping balloons with her teeth, lol.
