Status: offline 		No,I don't and I don't see where adhering to the letter of the law is analogous to circumventing.
Circumventing the law would be entering on a tourist visa...and  staying.The law says any baby born here is a citizen....do you suggest stopping pregnant woman at immigration and ascertaining that they will leave before giving birth?

Status: offline 		God all these people thinking they have more of a right to be somewhere than others.

Indigenous people are people who belong here on the planet whatever their origin is. Africa is the one continent that didnt move or shift. The original continent being Pangea. Not only blacks then just like now.

People need to back down thinking they have a right to decide who is here or who isnt. If there really was a concensus I would imagine it would be based on keeping out people of ill intent and letting the rest of human kind, our tribe, to go where we will.

No one has more of a right to be somewhere than another as long as you dont roll over someone else to be there.

Not every one wants to live in the USA. Not every one wants to live any one place.

Let the people go man. It is 2010, settle down and live and let live.

So a company in Turkey is going to make $25k by making all the arrangements for a woman to fly to our country, drop a kid so that kid will "automatically" become a U.S. citizen and we are supposed to act like the local welcome wagon?
Mike, you don't see anything wrong with that?
I think Ireland was the last country in Europe to change that law a few years ago. Funny, all the "progressives" a few short years ago were touting Europe as the place the U.S. should "be more like."
In Ireland both parents have to be in the country legally or no citizenship for any children.
As it stands now a woman could be on an international flight that refuels in the U.S. for a short stop, give birth and the kid's an American citizen!
This is crazy.
We don't need a constitutional amendment to rectify this problem, just do what Ireland did, pass a law that says no more anchor babies.

If the United States is such a fucked up, greedy, un-caring, gun-toting, baby-murdering, healthcare denying, economy-crashing, corporate greed protecting, corrupt politicking, piece of shit county.... why do so many people want to be here?

It would seem from those who start the majority of the threads, that people would be leaving the US in droves!  And yet they aren't.  The US still allows more legal immigrants than any other nation and we still have people finding loopholes to be here, not to mention jumping fences.

Can someone explain this to me?

Status: offline 		I don't need to ask the hospitals( no offence polite) and I am not upset over this popeye....I'm also not afraid of new citizens....I have no fear that they will somehow take something from me....I happen to beleive that they enrich a society and add to it....as immigrants have done for the 200 plus years of this Republic......you scared ass people have to stop being so afraid.Life is good enjoy it and stop inventing boogeyman.

Dual citizenship has its advantages--but also its disadvantages. Technically at least, you're on the hook for taxes, military service and so forth to both countries.

Status: offline 		Indeed MM - though there are quite a lot of those agreements now in international law that limit or prevent double taxation; as an aspiring capitalist this is important to me though I lack currently the means to take a keen interest. If I play it right as I understand it, I need not pay any more than a pittance at most, anywhere under such agreements.

Mike, silly me, I thought each country decided who and how many people they let in not for profit foreign travel companies and anchor baby tourists.
