You really can't read can you? Where did I say any of the people mentioned relied on me for a ride? Now I did mention 3 of the 10 who always want a ride from my friend...

Split hairs much?

Obviously either you et al on here never learned, have forgotten, or are ignoring that the U.S. Constitution does not grant the Federal government the authority to force anyone to buy anything, much less at risk of a fine and/or jail if they don't. That's the unconstitutional aspect of the Democrats healthcare reform.

Let's try a comparison here.

Liability auto insurance is required in most states.  If someone driving uninsured hits you and causes damage to your vehicle or personal injury to you or the other occupants then your insurance company pays.  So you are subsidizing the person who chooses to drive uninsured.

It's no different with health insurance.  People will have accidents, they will get sick.  If they are not insured it is everyone else who is subsidizing their irresponsibility.

Repeating the same lame comparison doesn't change anything. No one is forced to drive a car. Most people choose to, but it is still a choice.

Liberals can't stand facts/truths.

Nor is everyone forced (mandated) to purchase this insurance.

I thought this web-site/forum was for adults.

And your comment means what, exactly.

And since, as usual, Jimbob cant seem to respond when caught.. lol... ill go into more detail for the educationally challenged.

A mandate is a requirement. What Sanity, and most of the republican party is stressing is that health care is now mandated. Got that part. What they arent getting is that not everyone is required to purchase that insurance. If you have insurance, this wont affect you at all.

As far as being forced to purchase something... does everyone forget those little ID cards you need to do just about everything from travel, to work, to bank accounts, ect.. cost money too?

That's always good Sanity.  When you can't make a rational argument just resort to fabrication and innuendo.

OH, so you want to forget that you as a class sent this country into ruins, and then pronounce these innuendos as validation of the great visions you've had now?

Bush Cheney will never be forgotten or we are doomed to repeat our history.

Pull your head out of your ass. Start a Bush / Iraq thread if you're really jonesing for a good Bush bashing fest, but this thread is about health care.

Everyone keeps saying the mandated is illegal, you can't force people to pay, ....gee how many people go to jail every year because they say the federal Income tax is not allowed and they refuse to pay it.  Every year this is a headline after April 15th

It really does not matter, let states say they will fight it, it will be just like the Stim Deal where  the GOP States said NO WAY will we accept that money and then they will have photo shoots of them with big checks forgetting the money can from the Stim package.  Just like Cantor did late last year.

On another note, last month a DEM (I forgot which one) entered a bill on the floor of the House to end Medicare, Social Security, basically all entitlement programs, and guess what everyone person in the house voted NO, even those who go back to their states screaming we need to end them all.

You don't think the big health insurance co's are kicking anything over to the big Washington Liberals for forcing all this business their way?

How much money do you guess is involved here.

Good point, this also breaks Obama's pledge to not raise taxes on the poor or the middle class.

Obama's speeches are just full of empty, meaningless words.

OK, you pull yours out first. First of all, this is yellow journalism in your OP, not at all about health care reform, so far as I am concerned it is a tinfoil topic open to any interpretation or post design whatsoever. They did not vote against healthcare reform, it is as nefarious and slandering as you are.

They voted against a coercion clause to buy health insurance mandated from the fed.

But Sanity, are you seriously suggesting that government enacts laws and executes policy to derive partisan favours from big business?

I don't know.

Do you think the big defense contractors were paying off Bush, Cheney, and the Washington conservatives for sending them all the business in a war waged on false pretenses?

I don't have any more proof of that than you do, so maybe we ought to keep the conversation within the realm of what we can substantiate.
