I'm actually sorry to hear that, because you're so young. Two things: vasectomies can be reversed, and your "messy uterus" doesn't mean you'll never conceive.

And even if you never do... there are plenty of babies and children that need love in the world, if you want to nurture and help a human being grow.

Umm. . . Kittin, it was in response to the "frivolous sex" leading to all the abortions and how it was all these irresponsible women that were having them.

And yes we've talked about adoption, theoretically, in the future, when I'm in my 30's...I know that right now our lifestyle isn't conducive to being a parent but who knows 10 years from now. To be honest...even now I'm about 50/50 thinking more toward adoption, I would like to have a child that's a perfect blend of him and me but OMG PREGNANCY AND CHILDBIRTH TERRIFY ME!

I had all of one tube removed completely and one with an inch removed after the first one failed and the resulting pregnancy was eectopic,,,been 18 years since it was done but I still breathe a sigh of relief every month

You're right, it was "irresponsible and stupid" which is what I said in the first place, I got confused that last time.

The doctors had to do the mess for free.  Mom was there to catch the babies and make sure they were secure (L&D nurse).

The hospital wants her back since she retired a few months ago.  The doctors respect her so much...they listened to her if a baby turned poorly and she had to call them in.  They demand more details from the other nurses.

I did grow up in a nursing household.  I was reading Dad's textbooks when he was through with them (age 10).

Ya know, they can still get the swimmers out with a needle even if he has had a vasectomy.  Do not give up on your hope of that 50/50 thing.  They can also take an egg from you and then mix them togeather and insert!  [:)]

All is not lost. 

BTW, if you want to cmail me you can, as I have a "messy uterus system" myself.

No worries :) It was actually only after a couple of my friends had abortions that I realized they're a necessity in the world we live in, 5 years ago I would have been all on the 'irresponsible and stupid' bandwagon but today I think it's actually kind of amazing we have the ability to safely end pregnancy without endangering the mother too much.

I still don't *like* the idea, but it's not up to me to tell people who don't want to be parents "either care for this child you don't want or put them into a foster system where they are likely to get starved, abused, raped, or even killed."

Nice clean adoptions generally only happen for young middle class white women, or women who have relatives in a position to adopt the child. The rest of the children...well I wouldn't wish that on anyone.

I think you show your true motives by using such a term. Probably a lot of pregnancies are unplanned, some choose to go with it and some decide it isn’t the right time. Don't mix up the issues of irresponsibility and the desire to have children. Just because person A got pregnant by accident and decided to have the baby it doesn’t make them morally better than person B that was subject to the same circumstances but instead decided they could not deal with that at that time.

People don't 'not fuck' because they aren't married. Single people (responsible ones) fuck all the time. Despite their religion.

You are probably of the mindset that road accidents should be called road incidents because you want to assign blame.

With the best of intentions you'll find certain circumstances beyond your control from time to time.

If you are worried about STD's then you should probably avoid handshaking. The cold and flu virus is spread via handshaking, my only advice is to wait until you are married before shaking someone’s hand or perhaps never shake someone’s hand again.

I agree. I do not love the idea of abortion, but I have seen way too many people who birthed and kept the baby who had no business doing it. I have seen unwanted babies increase the cycle of poverty and child abuse. Foster systems are not that great, at best a temporary shelter, at worst the situation Elisabella describes. Adoption, however, does seem to (for the most part) be a good thing.
I also believe anti-abortion rights is another example of religious conservatives foisting their morality on people. In my opinion, personal freedom trumps whatever card the religious folks are playing.
It is not an easy decision when one finds oneself with an unwanted pregnancy. I always hope the pregnant person tries to stay healthy and deliver safely and get the child to a loving home, but if not, I defend their right to end it.

Nothing is ever simple.

comparing irresponsible sex to one of those car shash up shows? no, a DUI is NO accident. It is 'intentional' and it is deadly. Comparing car accidents to human behavior? What then is an accident in your eyes that I think it means? I think cars are prone to be sexualy attracted to eachother and start humping?

if you think you can get an STD from a handshake, well maybe if someone touched a herpies cold sore, but maybe you need sex ed if you are comparing a cold and flu airbourne virus to a STD. Maybe you should wear a glove like MJ...or Howard Hughs.
