Why is this healthcare law not going into effect for four year and in some cases six???

What is critical about that?

If this thing passes on Sunday, it will be signed into law.

Even it it went unchallenged in the courts, it would be 4 years before any of it goes into effect. The President however is tryin to sell this by saying people need help NOW!

Political realities demand passage now.
Market realities demand that the industry have time to adjust to the new realities.
Was that really that difficult to decipher FDD?

I dunno... reading these fourms, scores of people are dying daily because they do not have health insurance (though that begs the question on how many die that do have insurance) so that being... why the wait?

More so... how is voting for something that is four years down the road doing the right thing?

Love the logic...if we can't have it yesterday...no sense in getting it for tomorrow...even if tomorrow is 4 years away. What a republican putz!

I'll sit back and let the two of you explain how a calander works...but yes FDD market realities is what I'm going with...or are you of the opinion that an industry as large and essential as health care can just be turned on its ear by political fiat?

Do you really expect anyone familiar with your political leanings to treat this as a legitimate question.
If the proposed wait period were two years you would be here asking why not one.....this is just an exercise in political masturbation for you....and in your case masturbation is really something that is best done alone...goodnight FDD

Again, if Obama said that the American People need this bill so "desperately" why does it not go into effect until 2014?

Well why not one....

These are people's lives afterall....

Look... its your side that is the one trotting out kids and cancer patients and telling us they will die if this health care bill isn't passed.

If you cannot answer the question just say so. But come on slave, you are better than "Market Realities".

(BTW... would these be my Anti-Death Penalty political leanings, my Pro Afirmative Action leanings, my Pro Government Gun Regulation leanings, my anti Mandatory Minimum leanings, my Anti-Drug War leanings... I mean... you believe in those too right?)

See this is what I mean by masturbation FDD.....you asked the question,I gave you an answer....now there is no requirement that you accept my answer...you don't have to do that. But don't bullshit and state that I "cannot" answer it...your not liking the answer is not my problem...your not accepting the answer is indicative onf your thickheadedness not the quality of my response....goodnight ;-)
