Multiple choices are allowed.

I wish I could have squeezed about 3 more options in, in regards to choices #8,9, and 10, allowing for a pro-choice or pro-life angle on each of them.

ShaharThorne -> RE: Abortion (3/21/2010 2:44:47 PM)

I am pro choice.  I had the procedures done after I lost the babies in order not to have the uterine lining scraped and to avoid infections.

Arpig -> RE: Abortion (3/21/2010 2:47:02 PM)

I believe firmly in a woman's right to decide her own reproductive issues. Abortion should be available PERIOD!

Wolf2Bear -> RE: Abortion (3/21/2010 2:49:26 PM)

I echo Arpig's sentiments. It is solely a woman's right to decide regarding her re productivity.

Real0ne -> RE: Abortion (3/21/2010 2:57:50 PM)

bullshit!

takes 2 ta make a kid and thats a contract.

LadyAngelika -> RE: Abortion (3/21/2010 2:59:09 PM)

Thanks to evolved men like Arpig and Wolf2Bear for their support. America could use more men like you but I'm happy to keep you both right here in Canada.

I concur that both Arpig and Bear are good men, even if I disagree with them [:D]

I appreciate everyone's input.

Sorry you feel that way RealOne but the bare bones fact is all we men do is supply the sperm. It is the female of the species that has to carry the fertilized egg to term and then give birth. So until such time that men are biologically possible to bear offspring, we have no bloody right to tell a woman she can and can't do with her own body.

An don the other side of the coin. I have sole rights over my ability to produce sperm. Which I gladly exercised that right 20 years ago when I voluntarily had myself sterilized.

I believe that women should have the right to murder their baby [:-] (I bet thats a shock to some here), but let's call a spade a spade, shall we? Abortion is murdering a child, regardless of how you want to justify it.

I also believe that the father should have the right to abort the mother, if she alone decides to murder his child because she has the "right".

yeh disavow all responsibilities for a contract they entered into with the woman.  I agree!

When a woman can make a kid all by herself then the male has no legitimate interest in the product of the 2 bodies.

Until then to bad thats life and thats law.

Now if you want to change that to the agreement of all parties then I stand down.

[sm=writing.gif] personal note: once the visa applications for Canada and NZ are in progress...and in the unlikely event you can choose at the end as they might be approved at a similar time...it might be worth now to consider Canada more then NZ...after all...Arpigs and Bears brains are there [:)]

I am pro choice and only needed that one box to tick [:)]

BKSir -> RE: Abortion (3/21/2010 3:04:32 PM)

I'm personally against abortion.  Then again, really, not many people are truly "PRO Abortion".  However, that being said, I'm 100% pro-choice.  I can guaran-goddamn-TEE that if I ever, somehow, got pregnant myself, my personal stance would most likely change rapidly too. ;)

Until then though, that's your body, it's not mine.  I don't want anyone telling me what I can and can't do with my body, and I've got far more important shit to worry about than what you (the general 'you', no singular 'you' specifically) do with yours.

And no.  You can have Arpig, but I get Bear...  hm... wait... I plan on being up there in 2 years anyway, so, yeah, go ahead and hold onto him.  I don't want him getting broken in transit.  I know how UPS and FedEx treat their packages.

ShaharThorne -> RE: Abortion (3/21/2010 3:06:41 PM)

Is a one-night stand a contract?  Did both parties have attorneys ready for the sexual contract?  Does an occasional fling be a contract?

Sorry, but when sex becomes a legal matter, it no longer becomes pleasurable. Too many what if this and what if that.

YUP!

the only thing that does not qualify for contract is force duress and coercion.

well the kid is after the fun so it wont spoil the act, however the outcome certainly is or can be a legal matter.

and what right do we then get in return for the so called proud dads who in reality couldn't care less about their kids and their partner or ex??? What can we do with them then?

Real0ne -> RE: Abortion (3/21/2010 3:14:49 PM)

that wasnt really directed at you personally man.

just making a point here :)

Arpig -> RE: Abortion (3/21/2010 3:14:50 PM)

~FR~ OK Real, I can see how one might consider sex a "contract", but in legalese terms the man is really a silent partner. If there is any sort of stable relationship between the parties then I feel the man has a right to be consulted, but in the end he has no say...its her body, its her decision. And if the man wishes to end the relationship over it, that is his right, no man is required to be supportive of a decision he is opposed to, but he has no right to interfere.
