I thought our cats owned us???

Since there isn't anything legally binding that makes us "owned", it's all in the terminology.  If you want to think of yourself as "owned" and your "owner" thinks he or she "owns" you, and you both feel that you've reached Nirvana, then it's all good.

I'll drink to that but i was just accused of drinking anyway

this slave considers them to be the same...a rose by any other name, and all that...the intensity of which would depend on what the Owner/Master involved desired.

probably not...but we might be able to agree on what isn't blue.

sometimes looking at what isn't gives you a better understanding of what is

I see a slave as being owned property-duh.
It's kind of a tautology if ya think it through.

Now why would I want to convince them?
They got their deal. I have mine.
Just cause we see TTTWD differently doesn't make one of us right or one of us wrong. It just means we interact in different ways.

Hmm this is interesting i am a submissive with slave tendencies iand both Master and i see myself as owned. I guess you don't think a sub can be owned fair enough that is your ooinion. I don't know why you have to be a slave to have an intesne relationship. Master and i have a real solid relationship, and i kive him intensly if that is what you mean. Then we do have a intense relationship.

I am taking no stand on subs (Other than I like my Italian cold cuts with provo, cherry peppers, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, O&V, oregano, and, of all things, ketchup-indigestion special, I know)
But a slave by definition is property.
Don't believe me though, ask dictionary.com.

Slave [Sleyv]
Noun
1. a person who is the property of and wholly subject to another; a bond servant.

All I know is saying "that tight little hole belongs to me" always sounded hotter than "that tight little hole is leased to me".

IOW, it's not the term used, it's the understanding the people involved have of what is going on between them that counts.

Fast reply:

I actually consider them to be the same thing. My slaveboy is my owned property. That's kinda the point.

Sense (SINCE) actual ownership of another human being is of dubious legality, to be owned you have to in a way acquiesce to being owned and to assume the obligations of being owned and one of those obligations would be obedience

well that's my thoughts

in broad sweeping thought.... I would agree.
Ownership of me would demand my obedience and submission.

For me, those words are synonymous. Obviously, other people's definitions will be their own. Again, FOR ME, having a slave satisfies me. Having a sub does not. So yeah, having a slave is "more intense".
