Full story
WASHINGTON – Republicans took to the House floor Thursday to plead with those who oppose the Democratic health care overhaul to refrain from violence and threats.

Opposition to the health care bill that President Barack Obama signed into law Wednesday is "no excuse for bigotry, threats or acts of vandalism and I condemn such things in the strongest possible terms," said Rep. Mike Pence of Indiana, the House's third-ranked Republican.

"Some of our colleagues have received threatening phone calls. A brick has been thrown, a window has been smashed. This is not the right way to respond," added Rep. Joseph Pitts, R-Pa., a leading anti-abortion lawmaker.

Hell even Repubs are getting bullets through their windows, but let's keep up the partisan rhetoric and pour some more gas on the fire by blaming the Repubs or the Dems for this fucked up behavior.

Hmm...

Which Republicans were those getting bullets through their windows?

I have not seen one news report of any Republican being targeted as the Democrats have been.

My understanding of the article you posted was the Republicans have been denouncing the behavior directed at the Democrats, which I give them credit for, but also see a great deal of hypocrisy in that their rhetoric has encouraged this.

Like Boehner's remark calling the passage of the health bill "Armageddon" and saying "it will ruin the country".

Timothy McVeigh was not a terrorist Brain, he was an idiot, possibly a psychopath, who committed an atrocious crime, provoked and encouraged no doubt by the kind of rhetoric a certain poster here keeps coming out with.

Yes, indeed he committed his crime for political reasons and presumably to advance a political agenda contrary to the situation then obtaining. But terrorism has to be an organised activity towards pre-declared aims which are communicated to the body politic, the consequence for non compliance with which is violence. The idea is to prompt policy change by the threat and by following up on the threat until the demand is met - to misquote, "terrorism is politics by another means".

Cucky, that's true, if Obama tries any type of "amnesty" for illegals I don't think that there's any doubt that he'll lose the House in Nov.
And probably a lot of the senate as well.
But, you can't revoke people's right to vote! Some people may not like your opinions either but do you think that you should lose your right to vote for expressing them?

nope, I forgot the name of the base but there are or were pics of mcveigh on and I forget the name of the base for several months prior to the incident because he was in some special op training program.  that is the gap people overlook.

yes and your last paragraph is precisely what is being jammed down our throats and up our asses right here right now in america.  The government aka corp us will soon be in court for the same voilations they accuse the people who want justice of committing.  Everywhere I go I here people talking and compaining about the governement I have never in my live see such a negative climate, people wearing iron now days.

for the record the ok city murrah was blown from the inside out not the outside in.

just like you can see the tanks burning 168+ women and children at waco with incenderary devices and gas.

No amount of crown propaganda will change the truth in those matters

Cuck, do you hope for a woman that's just as out there as you are?

I mean, if you went on the "Ask a Mistress" forum with this approach I don't think it would get far

I got news for anyone who is not up on money.

any time you swipe that credit card you are increasing the debt and everytime you pay your bill they hypothecate it from 40 to 100 times what you paid increasing the debt as much.

I told you all what to read to get up to speed on the matter

I'm tired of the word "terrorist" being used to describe...pretty much everyone. Soon, anyone with an outspoken opinion will be labeled a terrorist and we won't have a First Amendment anymore. That being said, Teabaggers are a bunch of tools!

Ugh are people so blinded by partisanship that they don't realize the message we've been getting in the last TEN years is the same - questioning the government's major decisions is unpatriotic and implying that government as a responsibility to the will of the people borders on treason.

Put the stupid partisan politics aside for a second and realize that if you have a problem with protesters being criticized like this - the last administration did the same. And if you're okay with protesters being criticized like this - were you okay when the last administration did it?

A precedent is being set here and so long as people are okay to it happening to 'the other side' it's going to happen to them too. In 4 years or 8 or 12...if you don't like it, speak up now, when "your side" is in power and you actually have a chance to be heard.
