This bill is like a contract.

So of course all would vote no- until - they knew it was to their benefit to sign it.

This also has been boomarrang tactics.  They tried in August- and that bill was crappy too.  They try as many times as they want- but the peons at best get one chance- then it is too bad forever.

Look at how now it has to be a super majority to null it.

and we wont get me started over forced vaccinations.   Why is it the government, a corporation has more rights then a human has?

And really now- notice how bankruptcy law has not changed to our benefit.  that is pretty pathetic.  wasnt the whole point of all this - so that people wont have to file bankruptcy?

The legalize in most contracts such as health insurance, car insurance, bank agreements, and credit card agreements are specifically designed to be incomprehensible to the average consumer.

On important things like my health and homeowner's policies I have spent hours on the phone without being able to get any straight answers on what my policy does or does not cover.

Companies have legal departments to draft these documents but you are left with uninformed agents or customer service reps to explain what you are or are not covered for under the policy.

You cannot possibly state that you understand all the ramifications of the bill regardless of how thoroughly you read it.

The health care bills, all of them, have not been that difficult to read. I find it very hard to debate an issue that no one has read about, no one has attempted to read the main body of work. Hard to have a debate when only a few are knowledgable about the content... and i do not consider getting your opinion from other peoples opinion knowledge.

ETA - This isnt directed at Treasure... she just happened to post last [:D]

What happened to taking responsibility for your own life... your own health care?

Tell me you understand every word of every agreement you are party to and we can end the discussion.

Otherwise it is a lie unless you devote your waking hours to investigating the details of every document you sign from your cable TV contract to the TOS on CM.

I for one will be laughing when the IRS- you know the armed IRS- freezes your accounts.   Talk about funny as a riot.

16,000 of them- one of them will notice your obeying.  and decide for you.  and your money.     AHAHAHAHQAAAAA!

Well... yes, I do.  But honestly, there aren't so many that I have had to devote more than a couple of hours to each one before it was signed.  It's not that hard.

Let me ask you something, pahunk. would you prefer that, instead of taxes, the law says... no insurance.. no care.. anywhere? Would you feel better knowing that people are dying because they didnt buy insurance... and our government is mandating this decision?

The way we envision this working is that HHS, the Department of Health and Human Services, and the exchanges will be working with the insurance companies to determine what is acceptable coverage. All that will happen with the IRS is similar to a current 1099 where a bank sends IRS a statement that says “here’s the interest” someone owes, and they send it to the taxpayer. We expect to get a simple form — that we won’t look behind — that says this person has acceptable health coverage. There are not going to be any discussions about health coverage with an IRS employee. Shulman added that the role of the IRS is going to be “the tax portions of this, not the health portions of this,” including helping educate individuals and businesses learn about the tax incentives they qualify for.

Some of the tax benefits are a 35% tax credit this year for businesses to help cover health care cost and then it jumps to 50% tax credit next year.

So is this the first bill you believe was signed without people elected reading it?  Cause there was a lot of that going on with the the last group in charge, you know those laws allowing them to spy on Americans without cause, listen/read our email phone calls,

Nobody gets turned away in an emergency room,, that does not mean they do not get charged.  The e/r is not free, they will get a bill which is why medical bills are the #1 reason for bankruptcies in the USA

They get treated to the point where it is not life threatening, then if they cannot pay they are sent to either a county hospitals (you know the ones who offer free health to those who cannot afford it) or released into the street
