Its white shoes... and you can only wear them between Memorial Day and Labor Day... its probably a most peculiarly American thing since we have Memorial and Labor Day... Many people ignore important fashion rules like this... I am not, however, one of them.. and just to be sure.. I only own one pair of white shoes... and they go with my PVC nurse outfit... I only wear them in the summer... quote:

ORIGINAL: Aylee Wearing white spikey boots after Labor Day. Ok, I've read this through three times and I still have no idea what it means. Is Englishness an Unforgiveable Domme Sin (which will now be abbreviated to a UDS)? Edited because my poor english fingers didn't hit the keys I wanted them to. Yes, I did just blame my country of birth for my malcoordination. Dear Mistress Malco, There is this commonly accepted social norm that one must not wear white after Labor Day (or Labour Day as we Brits and Canadians would spell it). Labor Day is the first long weekend of September and is an indication that fall and winter are coming. White is a summer colour and should only be worn in the summer. That is why fashion designers came up with a creamy beige that they call winter white which is acceptable to wear in winter. Aylee played on this and the fact that Dommes stereotypically wear spikey boots (the Dominatrix image) and made a clever combination. Of course, this is very important information for you to have should you care to cross the pond during the autumn or winter months. ;-) - LA
