I don't think he's a bad man and I think that he truly wanted the change. I think that the system he is in is so corrupt that his hands are tied. He's almost too diplomatic. He needs to grow a set of balls and do the things he said he'd do. Simply.

Unfortunately, that is the way he has been since he got into politics. Voting present on many controversial issues in the Illinois Senate. Even his election to the US Senate, was basicly a pass because of some shrewd moves. He got rid of his primary opponent with challenges to signatures, got rid of the front runner when a sealed divorce record was leaked that contained a nice sex scandal, and faced a late replacement in the form of Alan Keyes...
The folks he has surrounded himself with will see that the system remains the same, as that is how they got their power.
Maybe, he will have some sort of revelation after Nov, the way Clinton changed after the midterms that made Newt the speaker.
