It's so easy to spot the ones who have never run a business (at least, successfully).  The concept of "the customer is always right" flies over their head and they do stupid things like fire employees based upon their political affiliations rather than whether or not they can actually do the job.



I suppose I should turn away customers because they have professed a liking for Sarah Palin and obviously voted for the McCain/Palin ticket.

Or, even closer to home. Disown, much loved, family members that did the same!

While I do not agree with their political leanings, and cannot imagine anyone with a decent IQ having voted that ticket.........I still value those customers and adore the family members.

Not all intelligent brains work the same. I read a study not long ago that defined how we come to the mindsets that lead us to believe one way or another politically. It was quite interesting. Neither is wrong persay, just different. Different concerns and fears that lead to different conclusions.

The art center is the not for profit.  The gift shop is not.  We get no government subsidy (quite the opposite, we pay taxes).

Congress does this every day. In the most recent example, this Health Bill, against the will of many, if not the majority. Oh goody!! A real smart answer. Lets stop all subsidies, welfare, handouts today! Right this minute! No one gets anything except for what they earn from this moment on. Nothing for anyone. Disabled? Sorry. Too old to work anymore? You should have saved more. Learn to like cat food. In school? Suck it up, get better grades and learn to work your way through school. Your studying to be a Dr? So? No handouts, grants or loans sponsored by the government for you.

Businesses, if you cant make a go without tax write offs, deductions, subsidies or loans... then your out of business, period. Dont come to the government asking for anything. Small Business, same for you, the SBA is now closed.

Oh, how i could go on and on about the amount of handouts both businesses and private folks get. BUT the answer is not stopping it all today. The answer is rewriting the codes, tax laws, ect to stop the bullshit that is going on, from both sides.

Yeah, i know, its too much for a reach for anyone to expect others to start voicing the truth.... BOTH sides fed this monster. BOTH sides have to fix this monster. DONT bitch about the monster, BITCH about those who fed it!

It comes from both sides. Capitalistic greed... as evidenced by a poster here. "Lazy welfare moms" on the other side... ect ect ect.

I dont agree with paying Corporations tax savings to do business here anymore than i agree paying a woman to have a child.

Both are equally wrong. But we cant blame the entities for what the government allows. The only way to fix it is to change what the govenrment is giving away, to both sides.

Tazzzy wasn't talking about congress... you have a real problem staying on point without infusing a conversation with your personal conservative agenda.

what was the last poll on health care? I thought it was pretty much a 50/50 split. This is with a lot of awful information being handed out....Palin's death panels etc.

Our current health ins system is broken....It needs an overhaul. This right now is not the answer but it is a start.

We live in a global economy and we cannot compete with 17% of our gdp going towards health care. This all has to get passed on in the cost of goods and services.

You cannot help yourself. You continually have to stretch the conversation to whatever misguided agenda that you want to address.

Far too often you are wrong, you know the poll numbers. Unlike our recent wars that we have been dragged into, I think you will see the numbers "rise" as people start to understand "health care" and how this all might work for their benefit in the future.

That's a good start Tazzy!

Now once you're actually productive, you may come to a point where you actually save for your future, your education, and the needs for your family.

Granted, it would be easier if not under the current entitlement enhancing Administration and Congress; but now that you are fully against entitlement and want to stop all subsidies - you are on the correct path to not needing your next raise generate by a rise in minimum wage.

I can't say for sure, but I'm confident in my opinion that the reason is you have poor, and agenda based, reading skills.

I campaign and contribute against every entitlement program; none more so than the counter productive income tax system, preferring a consumption based government revenue stream.
