Especially an evangelical environment?

I don't go to church to get affirmation of my lifestyle choices.  I am also pro choice, yet I attend one church that is pro life. I don't discuss my lifestyle choices with many people, just a few very close friends. I feel no need to bring my lifestyle to church. I don't need anyone's approval. Me, God and JC are just fine with my life. And if I am wrong and God is not Ok with me, I alone, will stand in judgement.

I have come to a place in my life where my faith is between me and God. Period. I attend church because I like it. I like hearing the sermons, I like singing the hymmms. I like being in God's house praying quietly to myself. Here's a little secret: I have a voice that would break glass, but love to sing. Church allows me that without being told I suck.... lol. " Make a joyful noise unto the Lord" and all.

I was raised a Congregationalist. But now I attend different churches. I do not belong to any one church. I kinda go between a few of them and if one of my friends wants me to go to Mass, altho I don't care for the Catholic service, I go. I get solice in church. It makes me peaceful.

I don't know that that answers your question Rule, but no I don't feel the discrimination is more prevalent in church. To be very honest with you, I find the discrimination against my religious beliefs to be the most prevalent right here on this board. And far more than the discrimination against my lifestyle in any church I have attended.

I think that anybody that finds the drab lighting and mournful lyrics to religious songs is quite pathetic.

Religion is in the business of supressing women's rights. Did you know that you have the right to walk in the fresh air and experience god's beauty in the real world.

Why are you ashamed of you bdsm lifestyle? Why must you hide your life from you fellow church goers? Do you think that you will be ex communicated?

I know that until somebody cuts off my head I will not be ex communicated. I will continue to speak the truth to any body that has ears to hear it.

Zombies are in search of blood to terrorize yall's neighbor hood. If you had a little faith in yourself then you would know that you have nothing to fear but fear itself.
