Rachel Maddow Exposes Fox News’ ‘Bogus’ Coverage Of ACORN - Mediaite - video
 
Using last week’s California attorney general’s report on the ACORN tapes as well as the unedited video Maddow compares the news that was reported, primarily on Fox, but eventually elsewhere also, with what actually happened. Needless to say you could drive a Mac truck through the two.
For example the ACORN employee accused by O’Keefe and Giles (and “evidenced” by the edited tapes) of advising them on how to smuggle prostitutes into the country, actually immediately called the police once the two had left the office.
Side note: Tommy Christopher notes a timeline discrepancy between the attorney general’s report, which says the employee called the police immediately and the the AP’s report last fall which said he waited two days…either way he was fired.
Additionally, the ACORN employee who was apparently encouraging Giles to start a prostitution business? Turns out she was encouraging Giles not to give up looking for financing for housing.

1) Wasn't it the left who said the preemptive strikes were wrong, and Bush was a criminal? But when it comes to a Christian Militia group, with at least one Democrat involved Preemptive arrests are A-OK now?

2) From the video seen here, the so called spit incident looks quite accidental, seeing how the "Spitter" is yelling kill the bill with cupped hands. Seen here @ 1.25 . Not to mention the good Congressman declined to press charges.

3) No proof has come forth about the alleged racial comments aimed at members of the Black Caucus, despite the plethora of video recorders on display that day...I wonder why?

They must have been the right wing of the Dem party? Unless you are referring to another militia that was planning on killing public servants?

I do believe I condemned the actions and plans they were making. Funny, I don't remember any news coming across any of the media (left or right) that informed us of party affilitation of any of the members, but they must be right wingers that vote and at least one that is registered as a Dem.

Oh and as to the original post, I will wait and see what comes of the investigations.

WTF are you trying here? The unedited tapes are available and they confirm everything maddow said about them and show conclusively that O'Keefe lied.

Actually, my reading shows no such admission.
"I would never blindly follow or assist a group who obviously had a different agenda than my own," he said.
"He had no clue these people were doing anything like this, he had no clue," Romick said.
Based on these comments, and the rest of the article, it seems to me that he saying that he would have never been part of the group if he had had the slightest inkling that any such thing was going on.   Based on that, I don't see that he is "admitting" that the other members were actually planning anything.  He's claiming ignorance, and backing it up by saying that if he had any knowledge, he wouldn't have been part of the group at all.

Interestingly, this bugs me as well:
Sickles' wife, Kelly, said Thursday that her husband was with her on a number of the dates the government says her husband was involved with the militia group, including the day their son was born, when she says Sickles was in the hospital with her.
and

The FBI said it broke up the plot with the help of an undercover agent and informants.

Based on activities of some Federal law agencies during the last Democratic administration, and based on things such as prosecutorial misconduct such as revealed in the Duke fake rape case, I'm not prepared to say where the truth is in this entire incident.

In other words, until we have more information, we could just as easily make the assumption that the members where Nifonged.
