Not being a partisan conservative does not necessarily mean that we must therefore be a partisan liberal. Some of us will find fault on both sides. Your point is well made but please do not expect it to be respected by the "usual suspects". Why no profile with more pics. Rich, the only assumption I made is that when forced to choose between the correctness or rightness of material presented in the Huffington Post or the Weekly Standard, you will side with the Post nearly every time. Nothing in our exchange suggests otherwise. When it comes to you Conservatives, your gospel is the Bible, Fox News, and the Weekly Standard, in that order. As a Conservative, admit your bias honestly...I can respect that even if I don't agree with it. But based on your posting history, including this thread, I don't believe for a minute that you consider a variety of sources before making up your mind on an issue. But, this has been fun nonetheless.

I like some of the usual suspects. These forums would be boring without them, but your point is well taken. To disagree with someone is not the same as disliking them. I begin to dislike people when they begin to discuss disingenuously. My thoughts are that this is a discussion board and discussion leads to knowledge...the rest is just the result of someone being droped on their head when they were young.

You are right...not every Conservative fits that mold. It would not be fair to paint them all with that brush, but it's more than appropriate to capture the majority with that wide net. It's a more fitting analogy which does allow some to escape. There is some blonde hair visible in the avatar. As for the rest, you'll just have to use your imagination;)

Well Damn, Jeff! I took a year off, then accepted a performance scholarship to the New England Conservatory of Music. I lived five blocks north of Harvard. I just missed you! Wonder if it was your old apartment. To the best of my knowledge, no one from NEC has ever been nominated for the Supreme Court. In fact, I don't think any musicians have ever been appointed, and it's about time! I learned lots of stuff--among it that just because your Radcliffe housemate has a pre-med boyfriend doesn't mean she won't sleep with you too.... Ah, the lessons of life.
