Hunky, how dare thee ? You have addressed the point AND at the same time refused to accept data ! There is hope for you yet. There is a university out there somewhere that apparently cured arthritis, ask and I'll tell you what they did, But I won't guarantee that it will work. It was ONE study in ONE geographical area. Their method actually seems quite sound, but will it work for everyone ? So in the OP they say veggies don't do the trick. Well veggies that are commercially grown do not have the nutrients that they should, so it's no surprise. What's more I don't believe anything anymore and I'll pose this : Vitamin C is important, vitamin D is important. Explain the Eskimos. They don't have many citrus groves up in Alaska or whatever, and they don't get all that much sun. If fruits and veggies are so important, explain the existence of those people. If salt is so bad for you, how come they give you a saline solution in case, for example you get shot or something ? I also view any nutritional study with a jaundiced eye because of several factors. Mainly because I believe that people of different ethnicity/heritage whatever have different nutritional needs. Although we all need the same nutrients of course, we need them in differing quantities. If someone wants to tell me what to eat, their data better come from a selected test group with a similar lineage to mine. Don't tell me what the Orientals need or whoever, tell me what Eastern Europeans need (I think, Polak, German and Slovak). But things are not done that way as it would be politically incorrect. What's more, even in a multicultural study, if they would report by ethinicity it might help. If they did so we might have some real data, such as "Blacks showed a moderate improvement while Whites and Orientals seemed to show no positive benfits from the program". Things like that. But NOOOOOO they can't do that. C'mon people, this is not racism this is your life ! Your well being, your health ! In another thread someone said "We are focussed on our differences rather than..." I agree, and in the cultural sense it might be better left alone, but to assume everyone has the same body chemistry is ludicrous at best. Criminal at worst. How much good data has been flushed down the toilet ? BTW if anyone wants to try the cure for arthritis you'll need a vacuum pump. The approach makes sense, but I can't guanrantee it'll work for everyone. Details on request. As far as diet and cancer (I will not restart a debate on the meaning of that) your best bet is to get on the phone and say you need some lab rat feed. They are the best fed beings on the planet. It may sound gross, but if you knew what was in those pills you would be equally as shocked. In fact if most people knew what was in hotdogs they would puke. However further discovery and reflection on my part has resulted in the conclusion that hot dogs (and bologna of course) are one of the most nutritious foods you can eat, especially on a tight budget. Mt theory on that on request also, I will not bore the uninterested with it. So the bottom line here is that veggies used to be good for you but now they are not. Don't worry about it, within a week they'll most likely contradict themselves again and we can have our carrots and peas. BTW, I have to go to the grocery later, which is it this week butter or margarine ? T
