Brain -> Not Fooled by GOP Spin: Americans Still Blame Bush for Economy (4/10/2010 9:57:58 PM)

You can't just blame Bush. He was merely following Republican policy laid down in the 80's under Reagan. These policies have been an unmitigated disaster for 90% of all Americans.

Anyone who wants to deny there has been wealth redistribution going on since that time is ignoring statistical facts. The rich are getting richer, the rest of us not. There simply are no statistics showing the opposite.

Not Fooled by GOP Spin: Americans Still Blame Bush for Economy

While Republicans and Fox News have been busy blaming Obama for the economy, the average American knows better. And by average, I don’t mean Republican Fox News Propaganda Tools who have been proven to be the most MISINFORMED viewers of any news show. I mean your average person, who is mildly informed according to a new Harris poll still blame George W. Bush for the economy.

Yeah, he sticks in my craw, just like the WMD lie sticks in my craw, the depletion of my stock portfolio sticks in my craw, and the idea of W posing on a non-working ranch being enough to get him “re-elected” (Diebold) as a “real American” sticks in my craw.

On the other hand, remember when Bush got called a usurper after he was anointed King instead of elected? And remember how we did those horrid things to him like calling him a Muslim Nazi and threatening his children? And remember how we refused to believe he was even born here in the US just because his birth certificate, the state paper, the hospital and his parents said so? And remember how the entire Democratic party shouted out at his state of the union addresses, especially after he started an illegal war? You Lie! And remember how he was called a traitor on 911 because he had refused to even read the intel which warned of an imminent attack using an airplane?

Ya know, i didnt like Bush... but i find that picture disturbing, not in the least funny. If you cant respect the man, then respect the office he held.

domiguy -> RE: Not Fooled by GOP Spin: Americans Still Blame Bush for Economy (4/10/2010 11:02:31 PM)

I think he was the worst president I have ever seen....Not a big fan of the photo either.

Are you including yourself in that "us"?

You know brain, I understand being frustrated by all those "rich" people, when you are struggling to get by. Maybe if you took all the energy you use to bash the US and instead used it to come up with a way to earn a few bucks, you also may be 'rich' one day. Then you wouldn't have to hate the "rich" so much, you would be one of them.

flcouple2009 -> RE: Not Fooled by GOP Spin: Americans Still Blame Bush for Economy (4/11/2010 8:22:54 AM)

No fan of Bush either, but even less so of the picture.

Jeffff -> RE: Not Fooled by GOP Spin: Americans Still Blame Bush for Economy (4/11/2010 8:26:13 AM)

At some point the office itself deserves some respect. I didn't like him. I thought he was completely over matched.

But the picture sucks

Americans elected a failed businessman to run the country, then defended his reckless policies and reelected him.

The clowns are at home, watching the TV.

Jeffff -> RE: Not Fooled by GOP Spin: Americans Still Blame Bush for Economy (4/11/2010 8:50:52 AM)

Indeed Tim

Sanity -> RE: Not Fooled by GOP Spin: Americans Still Blame Bush for Economy (4/11/2010 8:56:40 AM)

Blanket smears of both the American public as well as the last Republican administration.

Nice.

And I know that I should expect nothing greater of you, Tim.

Keep on trying to pop chaff numbnuts... this is all a delsuion in your twisted little Marxist brain.... Obama Chavez has united this nation in a way not seen for decades and your lame ass Marxist bunch is going to get fired in a landslide election come November.... The 'blame Bush' shit is laughable..and you are truely an incompetent not just recognizing the change in the political wind that is now at hurricane force.... The nation is totally anti- Washington... totally anti- big government, and you come up with this lame ass drivel.... Perhaps your true calling is flipping burgers at burger doodle, cause you havn't got a clue politically..... But onthe morning of November 3rd, you will wake up to a new landscape of wreckage of your communist dreams laying in a pile as your Marxist clowns start cleaning out their offices..... but even then you will run that stupid mouth..... go ahead on....because a fool is always the last to know he is truely a fool..... pathetic!

And I know you can say nothing else to retort--because it's the truth.

Show me one post i have made where i didnt respect the office, Sanity. I have never made fun of his name, never posted pics that were in bad taste, or supported anyone who did.

Your just pissy because no one is supporting that picture leaving you little to whine about.

This site is a member of the free speech coalition. So whether you like the picture or not, he has a right to post it. I've had one picture deleted, simply because it offended someone, and that is nonsense. If you support censorship on an adult site then you are no better than a democrat who supports censorship in the public media simply because it may offend some group.

By the way, Clinton is the one who passed NAFTA, and China and our economy has been going downhill ever since. It always takes 5 to 10 years for the effects of economic policies to begin to reveal themselves, and Clinton inherited a great economy from Reagan.

I will admit Bush was an idiot though, and he ignored illegal immigration, and signed even more free trade agreements. What a moron. Obama is refusing to enforce our immigration laws as well and his promise about renegotiating nafta was just another lie. Behind closed doors his people were secretly telling Canadian officials not to worry about it. The point is, only a true conservative will do something about this mess we are in. Liberals and RINO's caused all of this, and none of them will admit they made a mistake and change course.

Bush was not a true conservative because true conservatives don't monitor legal citizens unconstitutionally, attempt a North American Union without the consent of the people, and they don't spend more money than they take in. They also don't attempt to hand over political control of their country to Latin America by ignoring Illegal immigration. The ironic part here is, that most people are aware that the federal government is the problem, yet they voted for even more government, rather than less. I suppose when people see no hope, they are forced to rely on the government, but in this case the government is a liability, not an asset. It's not like the great depression where our government was in good financial shape, and they were able to pull us out of it. This time they are only getting us in deeper.

Wrong again. Real GDP and Real GDP per capita have steadily climbed:

1992 -- Real GDP $8,287.1 billion, ($32,255 per capita)
2009 -- Real GDP $12,987.4 billion, ($42,247 per capita)

Its just amusing to see the new tide of "respect the office" mantra coming in. Two or three years ago it was literally anything goes.

But now?

right?

you... are a douche

Moonhead -> RE: Not Fooled by GOP Spin: Americans Still Blame Bush for Economy (4/11/2010 9:39:23 AM)

That's strange: the impression I got was more that the GOP apologists like yourself suddenly abandoned the line they'd spent eight years repeating like a parrot with ADD the second the Kenyan was elected last year.
I don't see a huge upswell in respect for the office since last January, put it that way.
