While I wouldn't call Poland a major power, its not exactly Kenya either. This is a situation from which Russia could clearly benefit. ... illogical to immediately assume that there is no foul play here.

The main reason such madness never really took off in the UK is there simply isn't any ruling elite here. Brown was born in villiage in scotland, son of some religious guy. Blair was born to a bastard result of minor actors affair and a butchers daughter. etc etc etc. Grand conspiracy theories don't work with the UK, because there aren't any suspects....there are no super rich running anything.

My bad, need to cut down on the Brit slang I guess.....I mean...do you theorise that this 'ruling elite' modifies itself to adapt to, or absorb parts of, new regimes in times of extreme change....eg, is it in Zimbabwe now, or kicked out with the rest of the west.....or is it some unyielding secret organisation that's behind all the old institutions of the western world, the european monarchies, catholic church etc....and therefore loses power in areas where these organisations lose their influence?
