I'm trying to figure that out myself. No amount of antihistamines, nasal sprays and eye drops seem to help. Argh!

They say 150 is high, it's been over 5000 here as of late on a daily basis and everything is turning green. If you have allergies best to stay in much as possible with the A/C going. Much of the time you will see others with respitory issues wearing masks across their faces when going out in it or out working in the yard. There are several over the counter items you can take, everyone's system may be different. What may work for one may not for another. Trial and error so to speak til you find what may work for you. Washing hands OFTEN when going out in it also as every time I do go outside and touch anything within an hour I am heading for the medicines, all eyes red and watery/itchy, sneezing and what not. Before I go anywhere in my car I am getting the garden hose out and hosing off the pollen. Touching anything outside, I then get it all over me and pay for it all day.

I have asthma so for me i am already taking pills daily, including inhalers....and still find myself taking over the counter items and eye drops. It never use to bother me when I first moved to the south several years ago, then after about 6-7 years later it hit me and has every year since.

i discovered a wonderful product called a Neti Pot a couple years ago. i use it regularly during allergy/sinus seasons and it has dramatically reduced my symptoms from doped-up-on-medicines to mostly-tolerable. i highly recommend it and it's really cheap. i told a friend of mine about it after seeing him suffer terribly for weeks from a bad sinus infection and allergies, and the following week i checked up on him to see how he was. his reply: "After feeling like i was drowning for the first couple days, i've never felt better in my life!"

blot, scratch and stop whining, damnit. It's MY turn...

Around here it seems to be the tree pollen that is so bad. Nothing helps and my face actually hurts (shup Pots)

I washed my car day before yesterday, and today I can write my name in the oak pollen, even though the car stays in a carport! They say after the cold winter (I know, I know, it's not really cold, but all things are relative) it will be June before it is better. YUCK. I fear that my head will explode before then!

When it's heavy like it was in my area the week before last, do not drive with your windows down. Everything on the inside, including you, will be coated in green dust.
