Status: offline 		i do my best to treat everyone the same, whether here on the boards, in the grocery store, or on the street.

i agree with lovingpet that sometimes the civility goes a bit off the rails here on the boards. But, these are forum boards, and that's what happens - you see it on forum boards everywhere. It doesn't mean that these lovely folks are "unsubmissive" (using the "quotes" to make a point), it just means that this is the method in which people communicate their thoughts, emotions, and ideas.

Consider the boards more of an open floor for debate and discussion instead of a BDSM dungeon, and perhaps it will make more sense. There is no protocol here - only people.

Umm... they don't have Master's and those biotches aren't submissives. Clear enough?

Also you may find some people listed as female that aren't really females.

And you will find people listed as Doms that aren't really Doms.

But I'm pretty sure no one pretends to be switch, there is no benefit in that.

Status: offline 		As with most attempts to classify the actions of human beings with one word submissive fails miserably. There is nothing submissive about allowing someone else to do what you want.

We all control our lives there is no true dominant or true submissive we are each just playing our part that pleases us.

If you don’t please me either as a partner or as fellow member of this message board you will hear it…you are nothing special because of the word you choose to label yourself with.

Your best bet is to treat everyone as an equal…I do

Now as to how female submissives behave? I'm one of those and I "behave" on an individual basis. I'm not a one-size-fits-all kinda submissive. That would just defeat my purpose and the one who will someday consider me his.

This is the Sassy Submissive Website.  The wimpy submissive website is two floors down, in the basement.

Also, if you stick around here long enough, you'll see that quite a number of the dominant posters actually encourage it, so it's really all their fault.

Status: offline 		OP, stereotypes generally get the people who use them into trouble. Think about the racial, political, and age related stereotypes you know and you'll soon remember that they apply to some of the people within those racial, political, and age related groups, but not all of them.

These boards are for individuals, and the people who use them are all unique human beings with their own way of communicating. In general society you get a mix of what people are like- here is no different. For myself, I care about what my Dom thinks and choose to generally reply in a polite manner that I want to reflect well on both of us, but that is my choice and it goes out the window if I deem so. This is the way that my Dom and I operate. If that offends some of you I apologize but I'm not going to change what works for us in order to submit to a bunch of people I know in a limited way.

OP, you are coming into a group of people and asking why they don't ALL behave in a manner that you deem as being acceptable. That's just silly. We all have our own situations and personalities and reasons for doing whatever it is that we do. Yes, there are some abrasive people here and hey, you'll find them everywhere. As others have pointed out- putting a label on yourself doesn't automatically mean conformity, think of the variety of flowers within the 'flower' group. Or fish. Or cars, or packaged macaroni and cheese dinners. Each person is not only different but also each relationship. As you've heard many D types expect their submissives to stand up and be heard.

Status: offline 		One thing i will note - that when the civility goes off the rails, usually there is a penny on said rails encouraging the derailing - and like many on these boards, I enjoy a good catfight as much as the next person.

This doesn't make me less submissive - - because I don't do it with my Sir! I do it with a bunch of people that i don't know in R/T, some of whom i enjoy and respect, some of whom i enjoy, and some of whom i think are the hind end of a horse. And i wouldn't take too much of it seriously if i was you. For all i know - everyone on this board with the exception of me are aliens from Gamma Major, and are plotting the overthrow of the earth using bdsm.
