Maybe that's because you're closed-minded and uncritical, completely the opposite of Zizek.

Scamper off and listen to William Buckley, or some other incoherent idiot.

Buckley is another unimpressive person.

my political stance was arrived at in a manner unlike most other people. I'd be willing to bet a good bit of money on the static nature of my political beliefs.

See on this I would agree...I would go even farther and hazard you do not have the ability to change and evolve.
Yep ....static, a real good word...much better than "mule-headed"(that's probably how one of those "unwashed masses" would descibe it )

I'm also very mule-headed when it comes to geometry.

It is entirely appropriate to be static when dealing with a subject such as geometry.
Being "mule headed" where one's evolution, politically speaking....is a horse of another color .

that depends on how you come to a certain belief, now doesn't it?

I used to be very democrat until I realized how many people do completely stupid things and expect other people to fix it for them.

Then I was very right leaning until I realized that hating the stupid is no excuse for abandoning the helpless.

Now I'm of the opinion that the only way to be 'fair and balanced' is to call both sides out on their stupid shit.

No,actually it doesn't....if situations change to an extent that require a reevaluation of one's beliefs....being "mule-headed" is a distinct disadvantage. One I assume you have been operating under for years.
Thanks for playing though.
