Absolutely correct, Arpig - a whore is a whore.
Here's another for your consideration - It is better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than to open it and remove all doubt.

What in God's name ever gave you the idea I wasn't stupid? I have never claimed to not be a fool, however, in this particular instance the fool is also correct, as you pointed out

If a pro domme has made it perfectly clear that she is a professional, I don't see the need to make it my business where she posts or how she gets her clients. If it bothers you, don't piss and moan and play victim - flag them up to the management of the site, I'm sure they are capable of dealing with it in whatever way they see fit.

Whoa!! hold your horses there bucky. I never once said that pros had no right to be here, otr that it bothered me that they were. I am happy they are here, as they tend to be highly experienced, and full of useful advice, and i rather like many of them. My beef is with the "I am not a whore" facade...a pro domme is a whore..a classy whore, but still a whore.

If I were to charge a sub money for dominating them, I would be a whore as well. There really is no point denying it, it is. Much like the sun coming up in the morning and going down at night, it is just the way it is. you can call it what you will but that doesn't change what it is.

i have never looked at the lifestyle as being sexual. to me it's simply about submitting. sex has nothing to do with my submission.

Last I knew, you were not allowed to have anything about being a pro in your profile.  Some have slipped under the radar and some were here before the rule changed.  I am sure that a moderator viewing this thread will report Sassy and her profile will be reviewed.

As for Me, I could care less one way or the other.  I think they are leeches that take advantage of people and cash in on a good thing, destroying the good name of BDSM, but that is their problem.  Ever hear of the rental car agency "Rent A Wreck?"   [:)]  If you are that pathetic that you have to pay for it to get some, you have what is coming to you.  You will not find Me standing up for you.  You made your bed, you lie in it.  I am sure that some people really get off on it though, but it would not surprise Me if they did it because they could not find something better somewhere else.  That is usually the way it works.  The human race as a whole does not typically pay for something if they can get it for free.

Curious when did the rule change?
Please feel free to report it if its so offensive...dont wait for someone else to do it.
It wouldnt be the first time CollarMe rejected something of Mine.
I go through a lot of pics before one gets okayed. But thats okay I can overcome and adapt.

I think you are being deliberately obtuse and disingenuous.

Arpig -> RE: What is the Deal with all the Pro's (4/4/2006 3:48:27 PM)

you may not be having sex, but I am willing to bet that your clients consider the service sexual...otherwise they would tell their wives and co-workers about it, just as they would about visiting a massage therapist.
And as for the sex therapist..if going to the therapist provides a sexual release/thrill for the client, then yes, from my point of view that would make the sex therapist a whore. it doesn't really matter what you do or do not actually do, what counts is that the vast majority your clients seek your services for the sexual gratification they recieve from those services. To deny that is simply to lie. You know it, I know it, and everybody on here knows it, so stop pretending.

sweetpleaser -> RE: What is the Deal with all the Pro's (4/4/2006 3:49:39 PM)

I have been on CM for a couple of years myself and the posts regarding Pros are astounding.  There are so many who are against Pros.  I don't see a problem with Pros as long as the are law abiding.   They are obviously fulfilling a need out there, supply and demand.    I have known a few male subs who cannot find a Domme on the personal side who are willing to seek a Pro to help themselves.  Why not?  This lifestyle is more about BDSM than just sexual.  By the way, each state is different, so intercourse may be the only sexual act prohibited under the law for money.  I also agree with a previous post that prostitution should be legalized, it IS the oldest profession.

please note the third entry from the Profile Text restrictions:

No Contact Info: Phone, Email, Instant Messenger. No links to websites.

No Criticism of other users. No mention of illegal activities.

No references to financial slavery.

michaelGA -> RE: What is the Deal with all the Pro's (4/4/2006 4:58:49 PM)

maybe it's just me, but doesn't a ProDom(me) seek Financial Slavery?

FootBottom -> RE: What is the Deal with all the Pro's (4/4/2006 5:03:45 PM)

I for one, have found that most if not all Online Female Dominant's are all about Financial Domination. They require 'Tributes' and other gifts as "payment". It is extremely hard to find a Playmate who doesn't do it for the money, and it's getting extremely frustrating. I feel your pain. There has to be some Ladies out there who Dominate for the fun of it, not just for money.

michaelGA -> RE: What is the Deal with all the Pro's (4/4/2006 5:07:13 PM)

what i'm saying though is that, on the page where profiles are created, it plainly states "No reference to Finacial Slavery". isn't "Trubite" the same thing?

kissmekat -> RE: What is the Deal with all the Pro's (4/4/2006 5:11:57 PM)

I know I cant defend myself against what people think as whoring but trust me a Trubite in my book can be helping put a new roof on my garage. Its not all about finanial domination. But again I know I will just get tons of email saying other wise to which I would gladly answer you.

CaliforniaSlave -> RE: What is the Deal with all the Pro's (4/4/2006 8:14:34 PM)

I have no problem with pro's.  HOWEVER:

I wish there was one site, like CM, that was purely for us lifestylers..... The pro's have a zillion sites.  It'd be nice if there was one strictly reserved for lifestylers (as CM stated out being).

It's frustrating to wade through all the profiles, and two out of three say "nothing is free", "tribute required", or "only seeking clients".  Save those for the pro-only sites.

Let us lifestylers have ONE site for ourselves.... Is that too much to ask?

Arpig -> RE: What is the Deal with all the Pro's (4/5/2006 9:50:12 AM)

and i suppose that new garage roof isn't going to cost him anything?

michaelGA -> RE: What is the Deal with all the Pro's (4/5/2006 10:13:31 AM)

i was going to point that out, but thought others would attack me for my efforts, good that someone saw that statement besides me.

petwolf22 -> RE: What is the Deal with all the Pro's (4/5/2006 11:09:36 AM)

most of the pro Dommes i know charge an hourly fee, and nothing more.  If that's defined as financial slavery, so is buying groceries or paying a contractor to do something to your house.  You pay (indirectly) someone to ring up your groceries, you pay someone to fix your house, you pay someone to dominate you.  What's the difference?  Is the purchase of any service or product financial slavery because it costs money for that purchase to occur?

michaelGA -> RE: What is the Deal with all the Pro's (4/5/2006 11:25:59 AM)

perhaps, but they are not advertising on CollarMe[:@]

petwolf22 -> RE: What is the Deal with all the Pro's (4/5/2006 11:31:07 AM)

i don't see it being done blatantly...it states in the profile, and there's a specific forum for them to post ads (and maybe the intros), but i've never seen any blatant advertising beyond that.

CM also started advertising porn sites and dating services....advertising is advertising and those are "sexual" services too.  And certainly more obtrusive than any of the pro dommes on here

DarkSideOfThMoon -> RE: What is the Deal with all the Pro's (4/5/2006 11:47:56 AM)

I just never saw why anyone would want the emotional detatchment that going to a Pro-Domme would give. To me BDSM is highly charged both emotionally and sexually, I love the fact that Sir likes me and cares about me, because I need the hugs and the closeness after a session. I do think it is a sexual service, but I do not feel it is prostitution. I mean, fair play, you do something you enjoy and you get paid for it. but people who pay for it - as has been said - can they not get it anywhere else? Seems a little sad and desperate...

Saraheli -> RE: What is the Deal with all the Pro's (4/5/2006 12:18:50 PM)

sorry - wrong account was signed in ~arpig

Arpig -> RE: What is the Deal with all the Pro's (4/5/2006 12:22:02 PM)

There we go...proper account this time [:)]

No, an hourly rate is not financial slavery.

quote:

You pay (indirectly) someone to ring up your groceries, you pay someone to fix your house, you pay someone to dominate you.  What's the difference?

None really, except that the person you pay to ring up your groceries is a cashier, the person you pay to fix your house is a carpenter, and the person you pay to dominate you is a hooker.
