Lucy... Both the American Revolution and The War of 1812 were fought against Great Britian to break forever the yoke of Royality. America doesn't bow.

No. The Declaration of Independece puts the colonies in a state of rebellion against the crown...That is "prima-fascia" evidence of the instigator of that conflict. The War of 1812 the U.S. declared war on England not vis-versa. Yes we started both of them
