Heitler (LOL you read it right here folks) used Shroedingers equation to show covalence bonds and Bohr would have been valence jumps.

Plancks constant was ciphered in 1899 and it deals with actions.  Bohr's constant (the quanta) 1913 deals with the states those actions can assume.  (both discrete and .....jerky if you will, not continuous)..... close as I can come to a very flawed model that explains enough so that a difference can be discerned, without putting absolutely everyone out heres feet to sleep.
