Phoenixpower -> RE: Willing to relocate..... what does that mean to you ??? (4/21/2010 8:12:35 AM)

Willing to relocate means for me to move to the countries where I know I am able to find work in the job I am currently finishing my studies with (because as great it is to relocate to anywhere, for me it does not make any sense to study 3 years to then relocate to a country where I can make no use of what I studied). Therefore it is stated clearly in my profile that I will move to NZ or Canada once my paperwork for that as well as my savings for that are sorted...either with a Dom or on my own....would I do any exceptions? Unlikely. Whilst I would potentially tolerate other english speaking countries then NZ or Canada, I would not bother to relocate to countries where I can't speak their language...after all, am not 20 anymore and have no interest at all to start all over again to get my feet firm onto a ground...so relocating yes, it is on my agenda for sure...but only to very few countries...

IN some situations.. to me it means the person has no ties, no family, no roots, no life, no friends and a crappy job -- and is willing at a moments notice to drop all that and rush to move in with someone else... all things that would not make someone attractive to me..

although I don't really 'date' or look for partners here... I would be very wary of someone really eager to relocate...

but that's me... its probably not the case in every situation.. I'm a skeptic

The issue of relocation is that, some doms I met on here, after like maybe 2 or 3 chats, they expect you to immediately jump on a plane, drop everything and move to them. It does not work like that. If it's the right dom, of course I'd follow him where ever he is in the world.

You are right.

You might be promised anything.

I sugest that you visit first before you move.

I think that the two of you should visit the local health center together to chech for STD's

I am dreaming of a live-in 24/7

There has got to be a match.

No one can predict who will match.

To me its means like many have said, to leave family, friends, work etc.
That is actually something i easier than most can do, cause i am allready on "pension salary"

But for meg it is not important how far, as long as i legally can stay there.
With personal experience at hand ( i was the one my ex moved to from another country) I vould not expect to live in at the begining of the relationship.
It's just to much to ask for most people.
But i vould expect a lot of helpwith thinks like finding a place to live.
Last i will say that i think its more likely to succeed if the mover has experience from living outside own country

'Willing to relocate' means 'if I'm attracted to you enough to make me give up where I've been living, I'll consider it'.

Personally, I'd think the person who I would move for would be more important than where they live.  I mean I would have a hard time moving from California (not!), but I don't know if I could move to Big Pine, Wyoming.  I think the isolation and that first 50 below zero temperature would have me seriously question my sanity.

Other than that, I love to travel and, to be honest, I'd love to live somewhere else.  California is getting worse and worse every day.  The weather ain't THAT good.  Especially in Sacramento, where 110 isn't rare.  Summer is the worst season here.

Denver is nice; I like it a lot.  But sexy?  And what's wrong with Green Bay?  It's a nice, small, clean city where they happen to have a football stadium in a residential area.
