it is a federal felony to enter the U.S. "other than through a legal port of entry."

The question was
"What law is being violated"
Have you got a cite for us or is just more of your unbiased opinion?

We are all still waiting
popeye
for you to tell us what law these folks are breaking.
This is the third time I have asked you...whassa matter sailor boy did you shit in your flat hat again?

Sarcasm not withstanding. The police have no right to ask my for my "papers" at any time that they want to. But, when you are of color you get used it. That is why I make sure all of mine are in order if I happen to drive slowly throug a "white" neighborhood.

I  realize it doesn't enter your daily life or even your thought process when you get up and get going with your day. However, unfortunately, there is a large percentage of Americans that have to have those thoughts each day.

what the fuck does that have to do with anything I said.   I don't live in arizona, they can kiss my ass. my point is there is a large chance that the ACLU will be working on this at some point, gratis....on behalf of (probably) an illegal.

What will happen is they will be working on behalf of a citizen that filed for being illegally detained.

Here lies the answer

My point is why fuck around with unconstitutional law because you are pissed off? Why not close it up?

Yes, what I experienced, when their was no state law, was indeed illegal...but now, the police can stop anyone, white or black, brown or yellow, or pink, as for papers, which caused problems in the past, is now solved. The police are within their jusidiction, to enquire. It used to be, they needed evidence of probable cause, not now.

So, you are stopped, asked to present your papers....are you going to argue with the cop? No, simple as that. You are outraged...go to an attorney...$5000.00 dollars please......so you are going to go to court on 'principal'...no.

So you go to the civil liberities union, complain...are they going to take up your case...no.
And another poster decides to exhibit thier lack of understanding as to the damm Constitution. In the example you cited there will be lawyerrs knocking on your door 24/7 falling overthem selves in an effort to represent you on spec alone.
Do you not understand that no "problems" were solved here...that no one and no legislature short of an actual ammendment to the Constitution itself can do so?
Problem isn't solved and God help us if it should ever come to pass that it is!

Oh stop it.....you are going to complain, and put up an outlay of cash, take time off from your job, don't be absurd. You first have to prove you were 'damaged in some way, suffered somehow from the alleged actions against you.

The AZ law now gives over to the authorities full power, to stop anyone, irregardless of race, with this law, unconstitutional or not, the police have the law on their side...the burden of proof rests upon the individual citizen.

Get real.....a cop stops you, asks for your IDs, and...you are going to give him an argument on constitutionalities.

Don't be absurd.

The passage in red was tinted by me.....it stands all by itself as perhaps the funniest bunch of bullshit ever posted here on these pages..."unconstitutional or not".

Not a fucking clue as to what the Constitution is.....not a fucking clue

Nooo, Ron. You don't win . Hint: "unconstitutional or not, the police have the law on their side". You can't make that shit up, you really can't.
Hate to disagree with you Kitten...but apparently the seriously brain dead can,and in fact did make that shit up.....LOL.It's almost so tragic that it loses all of its humor....almost.

I have been pulled over twice for DWW. Seems a respectable white boy can't go into a black neighborhood without the intention of buying some drugs.

First time, I laughed it off. Second time wasn't so pleased. I got out of my car and met the cop half way. I said, "I am not here to buy drugs, I have no reason why you pulled me over and if we are done here I am on my way" I stared at the cop and he just shrugged his shoulders and I was on my way.

You fucking pussies would have backed down and licked his balls. You are such UnAmerican turds. Our founding fathers would turn over if they knew what kind of pussies were running around here today.

You might be joking Domi...but in certain neighborhoods of New York there for damm  sure is a DWW stop...and it is plain and simple profiling. In this case the profile states that if you are white and driving thru a crack area you are looking to cop....nothing in there about an accident on the Belt Parkway you are trying to avoid....or dropping off your sons friend, rather than have him take the bus.
Profiling is an illegitimate law enforcement tool...and I don't give a shit whether it is effective or not...it is un fucking constitutional.
Case closed.

Wasn't joking. It has happened twice.

These pussy Republicans would have laid down like bitches and just accepted it. They want their guns to be able to protect themselves and form militias but are little pathetic lambs as their freedoms are being stripped from them.

What tools!!!

Sure - my grandparent was (dead now) black. I've been pulled over, and questioned enough in my life; in and out of the good old USA. Not to mention all of the BBC groups I've been asked to join though our Flickr profile. Good enough, or would you like to see my last required test for another 'family' trait - Sicle Cell?

When I see; "you don't know what it's like..." as a response - laughing is my knee to the jerk response.

I didn't know that racial background required a racial one true way position on matters. Admittedly I don't go to many meetings. I don't qualify bigots and racists on skin tone. You?

Merc was born a poor black child and grew on the rough and hard streets of the inner city. Raised in the projects and always battling between his studies, thug life and the love of a good mother.

Even though he never sought out any formal education he persevered. Not taking any shit from the white devils trying to keep hold down, undaunted, merc marched forward. A true role model for the civil rights movement. A true African American Hero for our times

Merc that is such utter bullshit...my father's grandmother was black...that does not entitle me to claim first hand knowledge of the black experience in America....and niether does your late grandparent's.The fact is you as well as I happen to be for all purposes white(unless the state of Miss.still has that silly one drop law on the books....lol)and claiming otherwise do to a relative in the bloodline is just a little cheeky.

Never claimed anything of the sort, inner city, yes; in the "projects" no, never battled anything of significance, and had both parents as well as my grandmother's love during the formative years.

DG - I appreciate your day is fulfilled living vicariously though others and representing other persona's in your icon; but are you now compiling a biography on me!? Wow - I'm truly flattered!

Here's some more notes for your compilation.

quote:

Stipulating to your one source of expertise once again; you do know your shit!

Oh, it wasn't easy without a degree, but it could be done. Not in their league, or even able to walk on their field, but I don't mind being associated with other "non-degreed" people such as Bill Gates, Paul Allen, Larry Ellison, Michael Dell, Sheldon Adelson, Steve Jobs, Mary Kay Ash, Richard Branson, Coco Chanel, (more to your speed)- Simon Cowell, and Barry Diller. (How many do you have to look up?) Then again - there's you, a college grad(?) to hold up and represent the other side of the equation.

However, truth be know - I did go to college for 3 years, one while in HS. Personally I blame that experience for not achieving as much as the others mentioned.

Banking - I was a Divisional VP for no longer existing, absorbed by BoA, Security Pacific Bank - one of thousands I'd say - but now only a mild mannered part owner in the process of liquidating under contract to another company in the banking industry.

However it was the result of something you haven't indicated you know anything about - work, and self sufficiency.

Please send me your first draft when completed.

Because it suits your purposes to make me white? Exactly why I refused, from the first application I saw it on, to answer a question concerning race. I could deal with, and have, with direct bigotry and prejudice, and never wanted to have to consider the implied bigotry and racism assigned to anyone not good enough to succeed on their own needing "affirmative action" as a crutch. From the inside, and on both sides, I've seen the exploitation first hand.

Positions such as yours, bigoted and prejudicial in my opinion, insure that race will always be polarizing issue in the US.

However, I'll be sure to quote you next time the situation comes up. I'll tell them I had my grandparent's blood transfused out of me and I'm glad they pulled me over so I can go back to the clinic for another treatment. My good friend Mike says "for all purposes" I am white damn it! Pass the mayonnaise and Wonderbread!

Sickle cell anemia can only occur when two people who carry sickle cell trait have a child
