Well, well, well, YahooNews has an article about Sen. John McCain and it says he's now flip flopping on his "amnesty" stance and now "supports" this new Az law as well as "secure borders."
The good Senator says he's been fighting to secure that border "for years now!"
Ah,...how long would it take to secure that border with Troops, 48 hours? And he's been doing it for years? WTF has he been doing?
Seems that John has had an "awakening"!
Only it's not a "good" "awakening!"
It's called J.D. Hayworth (?) rapidly gaining in the polls and it seems that if this continues John will have plenty of time to spend on his ranch come Jan of 2011.
Wow! John McCain has "flip-flopped!"

From all you've posted and from my perspective I think you have to face facts - you're just too stupid to be able to figure it out.

You feel that I am stupid.
Yet you would have us believe that you have sicle cell and that that preexisting condition is covered by your insurance....or will you now change that position?
You would have us believe that you are wealthy but you are too cheap to pay for your or your wifes medical insurance so you want to move to Italy where it has been paid for by others.
You would have us believe that you are in favor of law and order but you flaunt a federal felony by purchasing and using marijuana, yet castigate others for commiting misdomeanors and infractions of the federal law.
You brag about not learning anything in school but constantly tell others how stupid they are.
You constantly lament the "entitlement mentality" yet brag how you will avail yourself of every entitlement that you can get.
With a moral compass which only points to your wallet how do you ever expect to gain the respect of honorable people?

Unlike these people in the country illegally, my advocacy and personal use of marijuana is legal as I use it in California. I even pay sales tax benefiting my bankrupt State in the process, so indeed I am doing my part to fund entitlement programs.

My personal hypocrisy on this matter is aligned with my State of residence. Maybe it's all the pot being smoked by those law breaking cancer and other medical conditions people that permit me to maintain this rationalized position. Or it could be distinguished by the reality that unlike the illegal workers, I'm not taking a job away from a US citizen, nor am I allowing a Corporation to benefit as they do in the process of exploiting these workers. Somehow you can advocate for continuing those practices and hold up medical use of marijuana equal to Tyson Food, and Corporate farms using illegal workers for increasing corporate profits.

I may be rationalizing, but it's preferable to having that position.

Meanwhile I am prepared to incur any penalty if the Federal government should decide to enforce it upon me. I'd support a Federal marijuana check point set up right next to the documentation check point somewhere in CA; and let the chips fall where they may.

Actually, US citizens are not required to carry any identification with them at any time. A draft card has nothing to do with citizenship (and it wasn't even ID); illegal immigrants would be required to have it just as anybody else in the USA.

Of course, everybody is required to carry a driver's license when operating a car - but even though a driver's license is frequently abused as identification, it is simply a license to drive.

* assists an alien s/he should reasonably know is illegally in the U.S. or who lacks employment authorization, by transporting, sheltering, or assisting him or her to obtain employment, or

* encourages that alien to remain in the U.S. by referring him or her to an employer or by acting as employer or agent for an employer in any way, or

* knowingly assists illegal aliens due to personal convictions.

Penalties upon conviction include criminal fines, imprisonment, and forfeiture of vehicles and real property used to commit the crime. Anyone employing or contracting with an illegal alien without verifying his or her work authorization status is guilty of a misdemeanor. Aliens and employers violating immigration laws are subject to arrest, detention, and seizure of their vehicles or property. In addition, individuals or entities who engage in racketeering enterprises that commit (or conspire to commit) immigration-related felonies are subject to private civil suits for treble damages and injunctive relief.

I read it a couple of times and could not find the part that says that it is a felony to enter the country illegally.
Could you show me that part...maybe with your self admitted quoting skills you could help us all out.
So far you have shown that being an illegal alien is punishable by a six month stay in the poky for the first offense...

Unfortunately, my other three grandparents, share another common ancestry and genetic strain that makes me a candidate for testing; they were from Sicily and Southern Italy. As a result - BOTH of my parents have the gene.

The sickle gene also exists in people of Mediterranean origin, although its frequency is much lower than that for thalassemia. People of, say, Greek or Italian background who have a sickle condition most often have sickle b-thalassemia.

Actually, I am a college grad, and I could think of a couple of different reasons for having that genetic test. I even know enough that I know you were not testing to see if you actually HAD it, but to find out if you carried it.

College degree does not automatically equal stupidity.

I was trying to give you the benefit of the doubt but your now you've added remedial reading skills to your inability to quote.

Your problem may be linear thinking. A person who does not meet the entry requirements, or overstays a visa term and condition is breaking the law.

If you can't follow that concept I'll tell you what lets use this as an opportunity for your personal skill set growth. You know, you really should start not relying on everyone else to do things for you. Independence and self generated initiative is VERY good for the soul - healthy, and personally satisfying.

So lets use that concept shall we...

You point me to ANY country where it is not a crime to enter without having valid documents, a visa, and/or work permit; and I'll cut and paste from the link already sent, that references the legal requirements for entering the USA.
