Ok, maybe it's the cold meds again, but WTF. If we can pay farmers not to grow food, then why can't we pay them to grow it and just give it to the poor? We have people starving in our country and we are paying farmers NOT to grow food. No wonder people think americans are crazy.

An update:

Crews to set fire to oil leaking in Gulf of Mexico (AP)

NEW ORLEANS – Crews geared up to set fire to oil leaking from the site of an exploded drilling rig in the Gulf of Mexico on Wednesday, a last-ditch effort to get rid of it before it reaches environmentally sensitive marshlands on the coast.

A 500-foot boom will be used to corral several thousand gallons of the thickest oil on the surface, which will then be towed to a more remote area, set on fire, and allowed to burn for about an hour, the Coast Guard said. Such burns will continue throughout the day if they are working.

It was unclear what would be used to set the oil on fire and how far from shore it would burn. The slick was about 20 miles east of the mouth of the Mississippi River.

About 42,000 gallons of oil a day are leaking into the Gulf from the blown-out well where the Deepwater Horizon exploded and sank last week. Eleven workers are missing and presumed dead. The cause of the explosion has not been determined.

We have heard information that this explosion was deliberately initiated by a party interested in sabotaging further oil exploration in the gulf of mexico...they deliberately chose a platform that was off the contiental shelf and with a well head too deep to have the blow out preventer valves actuated by divers..... if this is proven, then the impact on the 'enviromental terriorist' will be absolute.... Put nothing past the will of the communist leftwing to destroy the American free enterprise system..... we are on a march to a civil war, and I sense it all coming to a head soon..... god help us...

mnottertail -> RE: Drill baby, drill? (4/29/2010 7:39:15 AM)

We should belive nearly nothing we hear, and only half of what we see.

Hopefully, you will save a few gators for protection from the eastern libtarded dipshit commie non constitutional fag appeasers.  Otherwise, your ass is hanging out there bare.

You think ELF is responsible for the disaster?

I think Hugo Chavez would be a more likely suspect, if it actually was sabotage.

You have such a rich fantasy life don't ya

mnottertail -> RE: Drill baby, drill? (4/29/2010 7:43:14 AM)

wouldnt that fail any terrorist logic, since they would have went after ExxonMobil or Chevron wells instead of a UK company?

BTW, so drilling off the shore helps us how if the guys that really do it (almost all of the deep water drilling) are BP and Shell and they aint fronting us the oil, its going home, right?

This is from 2007.

I recently watched a 2008 documentary which claims that former basketball star, Scottie Pippen, had received over $850,000 in farm subsidies.

Were it ELF, would they really care whose rig was hit? Their goal would be to shut down all offshore drilling here. And Chavez' (along with his mixed bag of allies including Iran) would be much the same.

Given that, seems to me they would hit more than one, since we have more than one out there.

Please provide at least 1 CREDIBLE source (an no the ramblings of Cucky don't count) who has even suggested as much.

Wow Sanity.

Pull yourself back from the edge before it is too late and you end up in a fog of paranoia and wrestling alligators for a living.
