FR I am now in the second instance of IE, and up till a few seconds ago was waiting impatiently for a mail to get sent. It was not all that long and had no attachments, but it took forever. Yet the main page opened up as quickly as ever. Now I just went back to that first instance of IE and it said message was sent, and then I hit back and it said the I was not logged in and message was not sent. Now in the other window, I just went to sent mail and it shows up, text and all. Indicates that it was not read yet, well it was just sent a few minutes ago. Adding all this up I think that maybe CM uses more then one server, and they might not all be at the same location. Actually collarchat, which is what we are on right now is a totally different name. Maybe the other server is trafficed out. Images have been loading slowly, mail is better of thrown in a mailbox at times. (sarcasm is still allowed right ?) What I am thinking is that we can't go by times because this site is international, so maybe there is just that much traffic. Maybe there are alot of people using video chat or something like that which eats up bandwidth. It doesn't seem like a real server side error, it sounds more like a browser timeout when communcation is slow. And if you even reboot, it doesn't fix it so it isn't RAM cram. There ain't a machine in this house with less than a gig anyway, in fact all but one have two gigs apiece. I have tier two DSL and have no problems whatsoever with anything else. So with my limited knowledge, which may be limited but does exist, I conclude at the moment it is a traffic problem, a bottleneck in the net to the server that handles these things. At least it is not an unreasonabke conclusion and would go far to explain these symptoms. Best I can do right now. Want an IT pro ? I know one. T
