I'd say the opposite - he wasn't much of a scholar but he channelled patriotism like a pro after 9/11, got re-elected in the middle of a financial depression, and really only made enemies of people who never voted for him to begin with.

I mean really, it's not like most bloggers who made fun of his speeches ever managed to get themselves elected President.

It was others who got him elected and reelected. It was those behind the throne who wrote the words to channel patriotism. He was the little nerdy kid that they conned into eating worms on the playground.

Up on my pedestal, I dont look up...I have nostrils and dont like being waterboarded by mother nature...looking down is far preferable
