FR Seriously? One photo (which looks a tiny bit like an establishing shot from some soft porn)? Short, bitchy text? Obsession with beauty far beyond anyone I've ever come across in real life (and I've met some pretty shallow people)? Is nobody else thinking 'closeted man', here? (I'm aware that as someone with one photo and some bitchy text I'm being kind of hypocritical here, but the difference is that I know I'm female, and there are several regular posters who will attest to that fact.) The profile was created on Friday. I think we've been set up. Mr Dead Rapper Necro Man? Is that you? Have I seen past your ugly-hating not-that-pretty exterior (going by 'her' photo I've slept with better-just being honest, OP) to the true you inside?

i dont think its a bad thing to have healthy self esteem but when i see it used to undermine others its a bit ugly and shallow to be honest. i agree that attraction is important but in my experience the guys who are drop dead georgeous generally know it and tend to be arrogantly unnattractive as a result. i went out with a male model once, purely for his looks and body realy, there was nothing much else to recommend him personality wise. my sons dad is very good looking but in all other respects a complete shit. personality counts for a whole lot more than looks. a quality in the eyes that tells you he's fun, intelligent and interested in more than his reflection in the mirror sells it for me every time. but i think that comes with maturity and experience. eventually you learn that looks are not all that important at all, its the person they are that matters much much more. but you have to kiss a few toady princes to learn that.

I agree, looks matter a lot. You're almost as pretty as I am handsome. But even with that, I have a body type requirement you don't meet. I'm not gonna get pissy if you don't like handsome older men and you should'nt get pissy if I won't date a woman that has a chest like a young boy.

Gotta agree with those who think the Jessyka troll has returned in yet another new incarnation. It's what I was thinking all through "her" posts. Intelligence also counts. I guess there's nothing to stop the uncivilized and mentally retarded from coming onto these Message Boards and starting threads and posting. But if the most intelligent thing you can do with a computer and all this technology is brag about yourself and put other people down maybe it's best to stick with the rest of the uncivilized and retarded folks and keep it to your journal entries.

FR Are we actually saying, in all this picking on the OP, that looks don't matter ? I think not, I think it more a matter of attitude. When you first open the CM homepage it throws you a profile, not sure quite how they pick it, but they do. In one of them I've seen it says straight up "I admit I'm shallow, so send a pic". When you put it that way I have no problem with it. And there is nothing wrong with being attracted to attractive people, really. But there is so much more. I would rather have someone who is butt ugly that I can relate to rather than a beauty queen who thinks her shit don't stink. T

Of course looks matter to a degree humans are visual creatures. Now the op could have come in and stated her opinion a little less arrogant but there is some truth to what she stated. In this society there is a premium on beauty its sad but its the truth. Good looking people get treated differently.
