Florida

I love the miles of deserted beaches, the beautiful tropical colored water, the manatees and turtles. The fact that you can go outside nude at 2 am and be warm. The huge expanse of sky for star gazing. Palm trees swaying in the breeze. Publix where people push your shopping cart outside for you and load up the car. A growing economy with lots of jobs. Great community and state colleges. Some innovative alternatives to public school that I hope will continue. Forward thinking , selfish politicians who care about Florida first.

My big dislike is the broken public school system, which I feel should be privatized. Also the broken foster care and abused children services, the horrors and years of mismanagement are unbeilable. The lack of a statewide train system.

Okay, I kind of stole this idea from fergus' thread on Jersey.....where do you live, what do you love/hate about it?

I live in Moody, Texas with my GF Cassandra. Born and raised here, and not planning on leaving any time soon.
I love the area because it's far enough from the cities, yet close enough to have some entertainment.
The only thing I hate is that the army base is too close ( Kileen )

I live in Sweden. I love the cold, snowy winters and the beauty of the countryside; I hate the anal retentiveness and the prudishness of the Swedes. And I miss pubs; Oh God, how I miss pubs!

What drew you to Sweden?

The Owner has directed me to apologize, saying I was being over sensitive. Which I was but I moved here to be closer to my dad who has since passed away. I spent alot of time volunteering in a nursing home and the people there are not just waiting to die. Also along with the many senior citizens who populate this great state and make a wonderful contribution to society.
the Owner himself did the joke was hilarious though

Force majeure. That and the fact that my partner's Swedish.
