Funny, there was no mention of this on Fox news.

Campaigners used pot petition to dupe voters into registering as Republicans

Officials in California have launched a voter fraud investigation after dozens of people in Orange County said they had been tricked into registering as Republicans by campaigners who said they were petitioning for marijuana decriminalization and other causes.

An investigative report published in the Orange County Register found that "the con occurred at the end of January and the beginning of February at places like Cypress College and Golden West College, and outside of discount stores like Wal-Mart and Food 4 Less."

The Register reported:

pahunkboy -> RE: Campaigners used pot petition to dupe voters into registering as Republicans (4/28/2010 5:12:55 PM)

For a man who claims to be an independent.
For a man who claims to be in favor of law and order.
I find it interesting that you comment not on the felony commited by the republicrats
but instead insist that demopubs are stupid for being conned by felons when the article clearly states that they were so politically unaware that they did not know the meaning of the term Republican.
On the credibility meter you seem to be showing negative numbers.

Wouldn't people read what they sign?

I do.

Dude
Would you change your voter registration to republicrat for a week if I were to give you five bux? You could change it after a week if you don't like being a republicrat to anything you like...
whaddya say five bux and anyone else you bring me I will give you a dollar finders fee???
we got a deal?

pahunkboy -> RE: Campaigners used pot petition to dupe voters into registering as Republicans (4/28/2010 5:22:32 PM)

Actually someone did offer to buy my vote in 04 and again in 08.

It is not for sale.

Sserpentia -> RE: Campaigners used pot petition to dupe voters into registering as Republicans (4/28/2010 5:26:54 PM)

If you don't read what you sign, it's no one's fault but your own.

I need you to focus here buddy...
I am not offering to buy your vote.
I just want you to join the republicrat party for one week....not during an election or anything like that. Look at as a trial membership that you get paid for...
How bout it ??? we got a deal??? five bux cash money and a dollar for every one you bring me...we are talking cash money here no withholding...1099[8|]

pahunkboy -> RE: Campaigners used pot petition to dupe voters into registering as Republicans (4/28/2010 5:32:35 PM)

But wouldn't it look silly to go in every week to change the registration?

I mean this is a small town area - so names and faces are remembered.

So your saying it's OK to lie and take advantage of people?

So you agree with the tactics used in the article you obviously did not read?

For five bux I do not mind looking silly in front of people I don't know and most likely would not care to know.
How bout it PA? Five bux for you and a dollar a head for all you bring me...this is strictly legit.
I am telling you up front that you will be joining the republicrat party and that after a week you can quit if you don't think that you can support cariboo barbie next time around.

pahunkboy -> RE: Campaigners used pot petition to dupe voters into registering as Republicans (4/28/2010 5:45:56 PM)

$5.

No.

That would not even be worth my time.    I have changed my reg a few times.   So- leave well enough alone.

heartcream -> RE: Campaigners used pot petition to dupe voters into registering as Republicans (4/28/2010 5:53:54 PM)

Caribou Barbie is a worthy opponent.

She would grab the dupers and manipulators dragging and screaming while being caught red handed trying to pull the wool over the eyes of anyone at all.

Irishknight -> RE: Campaigners used pot petition to dupe voters into registering as Republicans (4/28/2010 7:35:02 PM)

Maybe we need a "Stonerepublican" group. But what would their campaign slogan be? "Pass the Cheetohs?"

Maybe
"Vote for Us Were da kin"

subrob1967 -> RE: Campaigners used pot petition to dupe voters into registering as Republicans (4/29/2010 4:32:30 AM)

These republicans should start a community organizer group and call it Pine cone, that would make them legal[8|]

Is that what she is saying? I thought she was saying you better make damn sure you read things you sign, because some people have been known to lie. And if you are too lazy to read it, then you are partly to blame.
