Being a fan of weather, I have noticed that the Denver area does get some wacky weather. Almost as wacky as what we get here in Cleveland. The dust storms might be a possible explanation, but what about that ash cloud from the Iceland volcano that "broke loose and was heading towards the east coast of the US and Canada"? Perhaps that might have been a factor in the "dirty rain". I'm not even gonna try and give the name of that volcano. According to the stories I read about it online, part of the ash cloud 'broke off' and was heading **east** towards the US and Canada. Yup, I even re-read the story 4 or 5 times to be sure I was reading it right. Apparently, the continents have rearranged themselves somehow, since the US and Canada are now *east* of Iceland..... A "dirty thunderstorm" was mentioned in one of the stories I read. With some really cool accompanying photos. When that volcano errupted, the lava coming out carried/created a static charge. Pictures showed lightning bolts within the shooting lava, steam, and smoke. Way cool.
