I was considering not doing the birthday thing this year, due to a million obstacles that seemed to spring up right and left, and then I decided to just say "fuck it" and do it anyway. So yes, for those that emailed me to ask about it and I responded that it probably wasn't going to happen, I changed my mind. For those that want to go, I'm doing some things differently this year and some the same (and of course, you can always do whatever you like). Dates: Wednesday July 21 through Tuesday July 27 (approximately). Coming from the left coast, the first day for me is always a full day of travel, and it looks like I will probably get in at 11pm or so on that Wednesday. Area: St. Pete Beach Airport: The airport of choice this year is Tampa International (airport code TPA). Car Rental: I'm skipping the car rental this year (see hotel). Of course, if someone wants to rent a car they can do so. Hotel: I haven't picked a hotel yet, but am narrowing down my choices. It will be right on the beach (number one consideration), $100 or less per room per night (and most of the rooms I'm looking at will hold 4 adults), and hopefully will have airport shuttle service. Being right on the beach, I didn't see the need to rent a car for a week. Alot of them also have kitchens or kitchenettes. That's about as much as I know right now. I haven't planned any specific activities, field trips, dungeon trips, etc., as of yet. LadyHib and I are rooming together (and there may be space for more people in our room, once I choose a hotel). Oh!!! It was such an amazing experience last year! Friendship, adventure, play, catharsis, connection....I will ask Sir if I may attend this year again! Maybe He will be able to come, too!

I wish I could come, too... Interesting how Cali and I have only been in each other's presence one time, and there was groping, kissing, biting, a truffle exchange, and well..... sigh I don't know if the forces of nature can withstand that much redheaded brazen hussy-ness at once! [:o]

I don't expect a lot to happen on this thread until after Red's birthday bash, and that's okay. Can't wait to hear of all the ~~death marches~~ grand adventures that shall be had. I'm also looking forward to the next CaliFran vs. Mothra showdown. For those who don't remember, there's an accounting here, all in one spot. Cali

See??? Trying to make me cry... I see how you are... I will have to see what I can do. The Things are lobbying really hard for a vacation this summer. I haven't been able to take them anywhere for longer than a weekend vacation since Sept. 2006. They are long overdue and are asking me every day what we can do this year. I want a magic money tree to sprout up. Then I can go wherever I want, and hook them up, too. le sigh
