I am home now, unpacking, catching up on all the goings-on... examining my sunburnt face in the mirror (I'm blaming Hib...).
Thank you to everyone who came out, sent well wishes, sent unused pres... uhhh... sad to say, there were no birthday spankings, as parts were extra crispy by then... the paddle is still a virgin.
It was the most relaxing week that I've spent in YEARS. When Hib and I first walked out of our room, down the stairs, a dozen or so steps across the patio, and onto beach sand... then walked across the beach and into the ocean and just floated... every last bit of tension and worry and stress was gone. GONE. Every day was just as relaxed as the first. We met interesting people, saw dolphins, exotic birds (up close and personal at a bird sanctuary), watched lightning off in the distance over the ocean (Tropical Storm Bonnie didn't entirely miss us), then fireworks on the beach. And the view from our room was SPECTACULAR.
