She joined the company in 04, She is paid 50.000 fair enough. Less than five years later She is on 577,000, tell me thats not crazy, how many employees are on that salary after less than five years service. None. No wonder the economy is in the shit when we have human resource directors who do this. She was WAY over paid
kevin

What a bimbo to get paid so much after a few years huh Kevin. Anyone who didnt know you would suspect this was another rant of yours about women earning more than you.

Which, apparently is not at all an exhaustive endeavor.  Just get off the couch for a few hours a day and go outside in the world, far as I can see.

Nothing of the sort. I am totally against people being over paid and not justifying their wages period. Like i say a more realistic wage for a manager of that level of experience four to five years working in a company might be $200,000 , a CEO of a company $800,000, male or female, i would have no problem with either sex earning that, but 577,000 pounds for 5 years work, please

Kevin you dont get it do you. Just as with your rants about Pro-Dommes, prices and wages are based on what the market will pay, not on what you or I feel is fair.

I am pretty sure if you took a course in management and someone offered you £500,000 you wouldnt say "No boss, thats too much, pay me less"

I would actually if it meant that even one person would get a job out of it. I would take less. And some already have. Taken wage cuts because of the fact that so many dont have jobs. It called looking out for others in your community, thinking of others, ever heard of that. Unfortunately though most think selfishly until they are deservedly put out of jobs too. What comes around goes around

My father once told me that I should never try to teach a pig to sing. His reasoning was that it was a waste of time and it usually annoys the pig.
There are some people who measure their value by their net worth.
Please be aware that you will never be able to get these people to sing your song, so instead, perhaps you should concentrate on being the best person you can be and leave all of those plastic bimbos with tons of loot to those who enjoy the more shallow pursuits like me.

No, the correct thing to do would be to take your "excess" money and either give it to charity, or invest in a business where you could hire people, and give them jobs.

After a bit, I suspect you might change your mind about "being paid too much".

Charity me eye. The charity is the millions unemployed. Do your bit . Provide employment . Get the economy roaring again. Then you can give to charity to your hearts content. But charity as my father keeps on saying begins at home ie , get the domestic economy right first then think about the starvingn

A great story today. A Woman on £577,000 till her sacking in February 09, having been with the company from 04 starting on 50,000 got her just deserts for Her greed in taking a £4 million pound case against Her employer. Nothing . nada. zilch, no compensation , unfair dismissal claim thrown out, harrassment claim thrown out. A welcome dose of reality for this Woman finally. At a time when so may are unemployed. We know the reason why. Because bimbos like Her have been over paid for far too long
kevin

Link, please.  I'd prefer to research the case myself prior to commenting.

Here for your benefit is the story
Sky News 2010, 15:18, Monday 3 May 2010 A City executive who alleged her former boss brought prostitutes to business meetings has lost her £4m sex discrimination case.
Jordan Wimmer, 29, was found not to be a "persuasive witness" from her testimony to the central London employment tribunal. She had her claims for sex discrimination, disability discrimination, unfair constructive dismissal and an unauthorised deduction from her wages dismissed.Ms Wimmer, a former employee of hedge fund Nomos Capital, accused her ex-boss Mark Lowe of bringing escorts to business meetings and discussing his sexual fantasies with her.She told the tribunal she had felt uncomfortable when Mr Lowe brought an "unsavoury person" to a business event at the Hong Kong Yacht Club."Whatever's going on in his personal life is fine but to bring her into the business arena and associate her with me is degrading because that is something that would rub off on me," she said."It's so degrading for me to have to stand in a pinstripe suit next to somebody in Dior hot pants that don't cover her buttocks when she is standing there in stilettos with her breasts pushed out."However, Mr Lowe's barrister said the woman, named only as Ling, was in fact a Malaysian banker and Mr Lowe's girlfriend. The Nomos Capital founder was also alleged to have made blonde jokes that were directed at Ms Wimmer.Mr Lowe admitted he had referred to Ms Wimmer as "decorative" and a "dumb blonde", but added: "It was said entirely as a joke, it was never intended as an insult."In its ruling, the tribunal said Ms Wimmer "would have us believe that she had to push down the feelings of disgust and self-loathing" stemming from Mr Lowe's alleged sexual harassment. It noted that she claimed it was only during a period of depression that she realised how much his "disgusting and demeaning" comments had hurt her.The tribunal's judgement concluded: "Her dramatic account is simply not corroborated by the overwhelming totality of the contemporaneous documents... and the attempts made by the claimant (Ms Wimmer) during the course of the hearing to corroborate her claims of sexual harassment... put bluntly, backfired."Ms Wimmer joined Nomos Capital in 2004 and saw her salary rise from £50,000 to £577,000 by the time she was sacked in February 2009. *shrugs*  Honestly... I don't see why you're so worked up about the woman.  She was a director at an investment firm, by title.  In actuality it sounds as if she was hired as a sort of eye-candy, "in house" escort for potential investors... minus any sexual favor.  The man who was her boss and hired her sounds like an absolute nightmare and world-class jerk.

By the way, while many of the articles I found referred to her as having been "sacked", my understanding is that she claimed she was constructively dismissed.  That means basically that she felt her work environment was being made such an unpleasant place that she felt she had no choice but to quit.  That, she did three days after returning from six weeks in a hospital undergoing psychiatric treatment for depression.

It does appear that she was making nearly 600 pounds, but that was only for the last year she worked there and only 100 pounds of it was salary.  The remainder was bonus.  It was one of the reasons that she said she just sucked up the horrid working conditions and stayed... she knew the pay was fabulous.  Of course, because she stuck around she says it was the main reason she ended up having a breakdown.

As for the level of pay, yeah... it is a tremendous amount.  Was her work performance worth that much?  I've no idea.  She might have lured in many large investors and been very valuable to her employer.  Whatever the reason, her boss (and founder of the investment company), Mark Lowe (who is worth reportedly 100 million pounds himself), obviously felt she was worth it or he wouldn't have raised her salary and bonus to that point.

By the way, it sounds as if, even if Mr. Lowe had paid Ms. Wimmer less, he wouldn't have been spending his money to hire more staff.  Though a bit old, this article mentions his company having only four employees.

The firm, which employs four people, paid most of the money it made each year to its directors. Lowe is thought to have been the principal beneficiary.

The company has also filed for liquidation.

At any rate, sounds like a bunch of sleazy people embroiled in scandalous behavior.

I'm sorry, dear, there's a line. I evaluate dowry offerings only when the third of the month happens to be a sunny, high of 76 in south Florida, Tuesday. Dowry offerings must be approved by the fan club president (GT) and upper management (MsKitty) prior to approval as well.

Gotta have standards and all ;-)
