I had strawberries with my favourite plain yogurt and a few raw walnuts for breakfast.

yes, yes, yes ! I forgot. I add some pecans to mine.

Cute story :  I have parakeets and just got a new little baby boy, Kiwi, about three months ago. He is the most beautiful green color, almost electric green with a little yellow  on his head. Last week I mashed up some strawberries for him. He's is still learning to eat regular food, so when I came home he was covered in " blood ". I panicked until I realized he had gotten strawberry all over him, even his little feet. He's still a sloppy eater, but loves his strawberries.

Mint!

The previous occupant of my parents' house stupidly planted some spearmint directly into the mini-herb-garden-bed-thingy (stupid stupid stupid stupid). After a decade of failed attempts to stop it taking over my parents gave up, so now instead of a herb bed we have a mint bed with some chives at the end.

But for a few months each year we get AMAZING mint tea. It's like drinking the colour green.

I may pot some up and take it to my house for next year (when I will have a garden! Woohoo!).

Mint can keep the ants away so if you notice a trail of ants getting to the building, just plant a couple of plants there.

Nonononononono because it's bloody impossible to get rid of once it's got a hold, unless you use nasty chemicals. Mint should be kept in *pots*.

Be careful to keep the tops cut off, not allowing it to flower, even in pots, as I once had the seeds sprout 100 feet from the pot!
