ORIGINAL: herfacechair I'm here on R and R from Iraq. Ben deployed there with 1 ID. Figured I'd start a thread to answer questions you guys may have about what's going on there. Was asking you the question what can be done to protect an American in Afghanistan and expected some really good advice from you as a veteran regarding this. But what I got here was rather unprofessional. Honestly I don't believe that you have been in Iraq but that you just wrote this to make yourself look important and get some attention. I got the advice I had been seeking to help the American in question now from a German veteran and forwarded it the the American who will be sent there. As well as the result of the report of another German veteran who has been there. I am very angry and appalled to see that you (your profile says you are American) think that all this is very funny and how much you really don't care and how you give a shit on a compatriot's and comrade's life I am doing all efforts to safe somehow here. It's a shame. I'm calling you out on several levels. Aylee is an Army veteran; I'm currently on active duty. We both gave you sound advice. You dismissed both our posts, even accused us of not giving you anything helpful. I've offered, on numerous occasions on this thread, to prove my service... to include showing a neutral party my DA 31, ERB, and other documents proving that I am who I say I am. That's my first challenge to you by the way. Instead of accepting the challenge, you go on and accuse me of not being who I say I am. So, having said that, here's my second challenge: PM me the name of your soldier, the full first, middle, and last name. Once you do that, I'll go onto AKO and see if he actually exists. I won't use his name for purposes outside of verifying your claims. You got your advice from a German veteran? Serious? You see, this is another story why your claims raise red flags. Again, your soldier would've done a train up to deploy to Afghanistan. Once your soldier gets to Kuwait, he'll do additional train up. His unit should already given him the training, and CIF/RFI issue to reduce risks to his safety in the combat zone. He would not need to get advice from a "German veteran." When he's got access to his unit's training program, and soldiers in his platoon who've previously deployed. You were entitled to the responses that you got, not just from Aylee and me, but from other posters here. Your comments were unprofessional, and reeked foul play. I gave you the benefit of the doubt, if anything to show the readers that I am in the military. The fact that you could look at my long response, which is useful advice, yet claim that I'm a "poser," speaks volumes about your integrity. Oh, and get this: "your profile says you are American" -Angelsmile My profile has "JC/Ogden/Manhatta, Kansas" on it. Yes, those are in the United States, but that doesn't mean that you looked at my profile. When I look at the "Who's Viewing Me" page, I don't see your name anywhere! You know what that means? It means that you're lying to the readers just so that you could make a feeble attempt to attack my credibility. I doubt that you are who you claim you are, and that you have a soldier about to go to Afghanistan. Please create a story that's "more believable" next time.
