I saw another thread here in regards to someone in the military addressing questions here on CM while they are on R&R, but I didn't feel it to be appropriate to post there and hijack the thread. Please pardon if this has already been posted. I did a few searches and didn't see it, but I may have missed it. I'll admit that I'm a little upset after watching it. Video is of an Apache strike in New Baghdad, killing some cameramen and a couple of kids. It is very graphic. And the coolness of the solders was very enlightening to me. I guess in a war people become not people anymore. If you think your military is always right, you might not want to watch this. It will pop your bubble. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5rXPrfnU3G0&feature=player_embedded&aia=true More info..... http://www.reuters.com/article/idUSL05399965 http://www.reuters.com/article/idUSL1280681020070712?loomia_ow=t0:s0:a49:g43:r2:c0.235294:b32364192:z0 Some think they see an RPG in the video, some say it is clearly a special camera lens. What do all of you think? I was not sure until I saw them shooting on the van trying to help a wounded person, and running over a body with the tank and laughing about it. Edited to add: I'm not 100% on the rules of engagement, but it seems to me that: 1. 30mm guns are not for engaging people 2. the people in the vans, unarmed, picking up wounded, are noncombatants, and therefore off limits Any clarity from other military/ ex-military?
