Teabaggers Are Just 2% of American Population A shocking new obvious Washington Post/ABC News poll shows that Teabaggers make up “about 2 percent of the total population.” But they are “supported” by 27% of voters! So that’s enough to at least, uh, split the Republican vote. Some 14 percent of Americans say the tea party is most in sync with their values, nearly matching the 15 percentage-point drop-off for the GOP over the past five months. Fox, Hannity and Beck were doing very well before the tea party movement began. They had plenty to talk about.

But, they're spreading like wildfire! Last year here they had a rally of about 30 people, last month it was 400.

That's because the likes of Beck, Hannity and O'Reilly are swelling their ranks. Have you not seen the interviews with these people and read their signs? Many (most?) of them have no idea what they are protesting.

The democrats can only hope that the tea partiers will split a vote. On election day they will vote for the republican who won the nomination. November 2nd. 2010 will be a very long day for the liberal news media and the democratic party.
