The teabaggers are not a political party.  As such, how can anyone determine who is a member and who is not?

Fellow -> RE: Teabaggers Are Just 2% of American Population (5/6/2010 9:21:48 PM)

Totally bogus poll for propaganda purposes. The number “supported” by 27% of voters is perhaps more telling. I guess their identifier for a tea bagger is: the person who shows up for "Tea Party"  demostrations/events. How many Democrats or Republicans show up for events or is otherwise actively involved?

tazzygirl -> RE: Teabaggers Are Just 2% of American Population (5/7/2010 2:32:25 AM)

Anti-government sentiment runs high in the poll, with about seven in 10 saying they are "dissatisfied" or "angry" with the way the federal government works, the most to say so since just after the government shutdown ended in early 1996. Nearly half of all those angry with how Washington works say they support the tea-party movement. Nevertheless, most voters say they won't be swayed by a candidate's association with the tea party, and more say that would drive them away from such a candidate than to support him or her.

But the potential impact in GOP primaries may be another matter.

More than a quarter of all Republicans and 36 percent of conservative Republicans say they're more likely to back a tea party-affiliated candidate as are 39 percent of those who consider themselves to be "very conservative."

Holmes still appears on the 'fair and balanced' FOX network. He is a regular guest on O'Reilly's show and others.

The thing about FOX is the interviewer gets personally involved in the debate.

If you look at shows on CNN like Wolf  Blitzer or Anderson Cooper the host acts as a moderator.

On Fox, even when they do provide opposing viewpoints to their blatantly right-wing agenda, the host, whether it be O'Reilly, Hannity, or some of the less well-known commentators, consistently steers the conversation in support of that agenda.

You do not see a one-on-one discussion of two opposing views.  You see a host siding with the guest they agree with and shouting down the opposition.

And when you are insecure like Sean Hannity you get rid of your competition on the show

Insecure is too polite of a term.

I'm still waiting to see him fulfill his promise to get waterboarded after saying for years it was more like a fraternity prank than actual torture.

I am still waiting on Limbaugh leaving for Guatamala because of Health Care passing.....................a lot of hot stupid air

Moonhead -> RE: Teabaggers Are Just 2% of American Population (5/7/2010 7:57:47 AM)

That's interesting. So the teabaggers are a much bigger percentage of the US electorate than the jihadists are a percentage of muslims worldwide?

They can't but that won't stop them. Personally I think they just like using the term "teabagger". I wonder if they giggle like Peter on Family guy does when he says a dirty word.

I know a few who attended a demonstration because they were interested in hearing what it was about. They don't identify with the party, but I am sure if they counted heads at the event, they were grouped in with the rest.

Yea, I was looking forward to that also. I wanted to compare it to the water torture demo I was in at Leather Retreat.

And before anyone jumps on this, yes I know the difference between being tortured by someone I consider an enemy and being tortured by a hot brunette.

Show me the link where Rush said he was going to Guatamala.  Now I did hear that he was going to go to Costa Rica if he got sick, but I don't recall him saying anything about Guatamala.

Well close your eyes, I just mentioned Rush and I don't want to kill that lovely vision.

MichiganHeadmast -> RE: Teabaggers Are Just 2% of American Population (5/7/2010 8:26:04 AM)

If you wanna find out how many teabaggers there are, ask Kinsey.

If you wanna know how many identify with the goals of the tea party proponents, wait until November.

Voters are fickle. There is a certain group of core believers on any side of an issue. Then there is the mass of undecideds/stay-at-homers. When they finally decide, poliiticians get steamrolled, for better or worse.

Meantime, there is plenty of work for useless blogsters to speculate. Bloggers' opiniions are like bloggers' assholes. They all have one.

Maybe Kinsey has some stats on follks who like blogger assholes. Got any opinion on that, Brain? [;)]

Another country with national health care.

And no military, incidentally. One of the most peaceful countries.

popeye1250 -> RE: Teabaggers Are Just 2% of American Population (5/7/2010 8:47:06 AM)

So what do the Teabag (party?) believe in? I thought they were an anti-abortion group the first time I heard of them.
I guess they do believe in less govt spending which is a good thing!

Musicmystery -> RE: Teabaggers Are Just 2% of American Population (5/7/2010 8:51:05 AM)

They just have no idea about which government spending, how to go about it, or what the impacts would be.

But they're pretty sure tax cuts would magically fix this.

Only thing I knew was that he was leaving our soil. Either one is fine with me just as long as the fat assed druggy leaves!

Oh I get it, just another case of you stating something as a fact and then coming back with an explanation of why you were wrong, but went ahead and posted it anyway. No problem. That would also explain why you called him a druggy, even though I have seen no proof that he is still using.

Maybe if you didn't post just to make a point or get a laugh, I would be able to take you seriously. But so far you have proved that you will post anything that floats through your head, whether it is based in truth or not.
