I would imagine a grown woman could do the same with "Master"

Status: offline 		There are enough pet names (some of them quite derogatory.. lol) that are used by people in couples (vanilla and otherwise), I just don't see this as being an issue.

Status: offline 		My ex just made it simple for me and came up with a name that i could call him anytime, anywhere - i called him "Boss" in front of everyone.  Given that he's an Italian guy from Long Island built like a Mack truck, it worked out just fine.

I come from an old school Italian family. They would say.. what did you call her? And after that my mother would summon me into the kitchen and ask what is wrong with him and where did you find him lol.

Okay, in that case, she says "Master," and I respond, "Yes my queen?"  Context matters, I agree.  Point is, if it's a humorous and loving response, the family is gonna be cool.
